College students and recent grad uates populate the area, and played a large role in the schematic planning of each floor's intended use. Many different co-working, private office, gaming, and lounge areas were incorporated. To create a dramatic focal point; this multi-dimension al wood board design was carried to the ceiling in the room’s spacious twenty foot ceiling. Each slat is shown at varying size, depth and grain direction. Detailed draw ings and section cuts were completed using Revit and AutoCAD software as seen in the below drawings. Prior to installing outlets, switches, thermostats, HVAC grills, fire extinguisher cabinets, fire annu strobes, etc. Contractor must notify Designer at once concerning any obstruction which would prohibit these located where indicated on drawings. THE INSPIRATION: Located next to the Hays Nature Preserve in Huntsville, Alabama, the Watts Multi-family residential project began with a biophillic centered design. Instilling a sense a calm and relaxation is brought to life through the use of bo tanicals, raw natural materials, and nostalgic- like ties to the child-like backyard games. The client enviosioned a “treehouse”: A metaphorical escape from the urban world around.

After revieving the overall building layout of the clubhouse, space plan ning schematics begin. The image on the right shows color blocking of each location by type. Wayfinding, path of travel, and overall use can be deter mined here. This helps get am idea for how ech space relates and works together. The colors shown make up Leasing & leasing lounge: Blue; Library: Pink; Rear Resident Lounge: Orange; Kitchen & Cowork: Yellow; and other back of house locations represented by Red, Purple, and Green. After schematic space planning/ bub ble diagrams are completed, scaled sketched are incorporated to help relay the scale and communicate to the client what furniture groups can fit within the designated space. For the watts at Hays Preserve, the orig inal design concepts such as swingin booths; fireplace; greenery; and casual library are shown in the sketch to the right.

Located right on the beach of Amelia island, also named Fernandia Beach, this Hotel Hospi tality client requested a fresh finish and furniture renovation for the outdated Hotel. To cor rectly translate drawings, measurements and were taken of the existing build. Determining the condition of existing materials and furniture was neccessary to decide the final project budget and scope.

After site planning and determining the final design, demolition notes are needed for the ar chitect and designer to use in the field. This included detailed notes for the removal of walls, electrical componants, and correct disposal of materials. Most importantly in the demolition notes is the clear dierections for preservation of current materials and proper preparation for new build.
The construction/ renovation notes are all drawings for new build elements; even where no items where removed before. With a set overall budget for site planning, demolition, construc tion, all finsihes and furniture, an in-depth constant review of the working budget played a major role in every stage of the project.
