Past Events This past November we had two major events: On the 11th we had five of our wonderful key clubbers volunteer for the Veteran's dinner, and they brought a future member along to enjoy this experience.
On the 12th we had the Anacortes Sister Cities’ 25th anniversary. Here is a small summary of what happened during this event from our Key Club Member, Saina Allan: “Besides serving people Romanian cuisines, there were a couple of performances. The Japanese dancers performed their traditional dance with a traditional dragon. The two people that were dressed inside the dragon walked around and they stopped by tables and did this dragon trait that made people laugh very loud! Their culture was so full of music by drums and this dances they did. Last but not least were a husband and a wife danced together the Romanian traditional dance and there was a lot of spinning each other! It really was a fun night. “

Luncheon Appreciation This month we would like to show our appreciation to every member who has gone to a Kiwanis luncheon this school year! Here is the list of everyone who has attended: We thank you all for sacrificing your 5th and 7th period class to help connect our Key Club with the local Kiwanians!

Member of The Month Emily Talbot
Emily has earned member of the month because of all the participation she has done. She has attended every meeting held this year. She has always volunteered with A Simple Gesture. She has also participated in many events in the past such as Trick-Or-Treat for UNICEF, and she was at the sister cities reunion as well. Emily may be quiet during the meetings, but she has been loud with her kind actions of volunteering. Thank you Emily!
