The Accademia Gallery is one of the most exciting museums in the world. Smaller that the Uffizi Gallery, it offers a collection of unique treasures that make a visit a must during your stay in Florence. You are going to see one of the museum’s jewels: the collections of musical instruments in the Conservatorio Luigi Cherubini. Our Santa Croce tour is a two-hours guided visit of the entire ensemble of Santa Croce, aka Temple of the Italian Glories. The church was in the heart of Franciscan order and served as mausoleum for Italy’s most important artists, politicians and philosophers. It hosts the tombs of Michelangelo -sculptor of the magnificent David-, of Dante –father of Italian language- and of Galileo. Enjoy the natural beauty of the art of Donatello and his crucifix, one the jewels of Renaissance, as well as the harmony of Brunelleschi and the perfect architecture of his Chapel of Fools –Pazzi Family. Santa Croce contains many hidden treasures and bears the marks of history: there are some trails left from the flood of 1966 that damaged several paintings and destroyed the cemetery, which has been restored and is now visible.

This two-hour guided tour takes you inside the exciting world of the Bargello Museum, an impressive medieval palace that was once a prison... a place of torture and even death sentences for the outlaw of the time.
