Key Spouse Refresher Training
Wednesday, Nov. 9 10:30–11:30 a.m. Refresher training for formerly appointed Key Spouses who require Misawa-specifi c refresher training.
Career & Credential
Exploration (Two-Day Track)
Thursday, Nov. 3 –Friday, Nov. 4 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Facilitated by the Department of Labor, this vocational workshop focus on identifying skills, increase awareness of training and credentialing programs and develop an action plan to achieve career goals.
Key Spouse Mentor Training
Wednesday, Nov. 9 12:30–1:30 p.m.
This is a briefi ng conducted by the Key Spouse program manager for those who are appointed as a Key Spouse Mentor and have completed the Initial Key Spouse Training. The mentor training is a one-hour overview of the role of the Key Spouse Mentor. Verifi cation of Initial Key Spouse Training is required.
Monday, Nov. 14–Wednesday, Nov. 16 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Required for all military personnel retiring/ separating. Members can participate as early as 36 months (after completing Steps 1 & 2) and no later than 90 days prior to retirement/separation. The workshop consists of one day of training by DoD (Military Occupational Code Crosswalk, Finances and Managing Your Transition), one day of VA Benefi ts and Services briefi ngs, and a one-day Department of Labor Employment workshop. Spouses/signifi cant others are welcome and encouraged to att end on a space-available basis.
