motivation letter
During my 4 year experience working as an architect I worked in several diffent countries on projects of different scales and typologies. My journey started in Ghent, Belgium, while living there one year for Erasmus, with internship at Maat Ontwerpers. Here I was introduced to problematics of sustainability, urban gardening and urban planning- with which I had further experience in both danish offices where I worked. While finishing my masters degree in Slovakia I started working in the office Vallo Sadovsky architects. My first tasks were mostly about graphic work for their new upcoming website. These skills turned out to be more than practical for my future in ADEPT. Later I got to work on an interior reconstruction of a historical apartment. I was working on this project almost for half a year before leaving to Denmark. It was really educating experience to participate on such project from the beginning, and to be responsible for many tasks - starting with the first measurements, going through the design process and later on working on detailed documentation and collaborating with the technicians. Vallo Sadovsky architects are also interested in the public happening in the city of Bratislava, and they are organizing activities such as My sme mesto, Bratislova and Urban Interventions. Occasionally I was helping with the graphic design and PR for some of these events. My positive Erasmus experience inspired me to move abroad again and get more international practice, therefore I applied for Erasmus post-grad internship grant, and that is how my danish story began. I got accepted for a six month long internship in EFFEKT which started in the beginning of the year 2015. During these six months I was part of the team working on a future development plan for troublesome neighbourhoods Tingbjerg and Husum. With this project I got deeper into the topic of urban planning. It was interesting and enriching to see the danish approach, which is different than the one in Slovakia. After EFFEKT I got accepted for a junior architect position in ADEPT. Being part of ADEPT for 3 and a half years was a great experience both professionally and personally. I improved my skills and also gained new ones. I was part of many interesting projects and competitions, both concerning architecture as well as urbanism. One of my tasks apart from architecture was developing graphic identity for the architectural and urbanistic documentation of ADEPT. Since graphic design is one of my interests I really enjoyed this type of work. Past years helped me realize, that I am highly enthusiastic about projects concerning urban space and thinking in human scale. It is important for me to create design which can make a change and upgrade life of the people using it. Each project should be unique, affected by it’s surroundings and a response to the need of people. I enjoy working in team, discussing and developing ideas but as well to think inside my own box. I am flexible and can work at any phase of the project development as well as I can switch between different softwares. I have sense for details and good skills for plan development whether it comes to architecture or urbanism. I am also very keen about graphic design, therefore graphic representation of every project is very important to me. My wish for the future is to continue learning, tackle new challenges, learn new skills and grow professionally as well as personally.

diploma thesis
Mixed-use building extension of existing school_ location_ Bratislava, Slovakia supervisor_ Ing. arch. Lukáš Kordík, Ing. arch. Štefan Polakovič
The topic of my master thesis was a multifunctional object at the corner of Dunajska and Lazaretska Streets located in the centre of the Dunajska zone in Bratislava. The estate belongs to the BISLA University, which the newly designed object follows in function and service. The aim was to create conditions for the university as it aims at expanding in the future by introducing a master degree of study, but primarily the aim was to create a city-centric living campus. Considering that the estate stretches almost 80 metres along Lazaretska Street and takes up a large part of the street, it was necessary to design its functions and create a parterre which would bring the street to life and help to use its potential. The main factor that had an impact on my design was the current state of the estate. It is largely used as a parking lot and its other half is on the other hand a green area used mostly by the university students. Therefore, my goal was to accentuate the green area, push it forward to the next level and diminish the number of cars in the area. My aim was to create as many exterior as well as interior premises as possible, for the students and the public to meet, network and thus support the community-like character of the Dunajska zone. The design consists of two matters: one that dominates the Lazaretska Street and the other, a smaller solitaire in the courtyard of the BISLA University. The original object situated in this particular courtyard was insufficient for the university needs and has therefore been replaced by a new object which fulfills the role of a multifunctional hall and schoolrooms.

Amager Naturpark
winning proposal
Amager Naturpark 1st price_ competition_ location_ Amager, Denmark
collaboration_ ADEPT (Anders Lonka, Tatyana Eneva, Louna Gorak)_ Møller og Grønborg responsibilities_ research, diagrams, plans/sections
Amager Naturpark is a winning competition proposal for seven new recreational landmarks in a large nature reserve close to Copenhagen’s city centre. Each of these seven landmarks /3 main entrances by the edge of the city and 4 by the water’s edge/ will facilitate a wide range of different nature experiences and outdoor activities. They will help to support the experience of the nature reserve and contribute to the parks future ambition of becoming even more popular in the future. The architectural vocabulary is simple, based on the park’s DNA, respecting the history and landscape of the park. Each new landmark is a response to the unique natural environment in which it’s located, enhancing its qualities, creating a destination for recreation, nature experience, peace and contemplation, play and learning. The architectural language of our proposal is subtle, with identifiable constructions and wooden roof forms, which visibly stands out and invites visitors to stop and engage in various activities. I was part of the competition team from the beginning, from the site visit, through research, first conceptual sketches until the submission. My final task was to develop architectural drawings /floor plans, sections/ for each of the landmarks.

Proposal for a sport and culture campus in Gellerup, Aarhus, was a two round competition on which we collaborated with several offices. The new sports and cultural campus is a part of the overall masterplan for Gellerup, which aims to improve the quality of life and safety while opening the area for the rest of the city. The campus is composed of several parts -Verdensplads (World Plaza), Biblioteket og Samlingshuset (Library with Assembly house) and Cirk(h)uset (Circus house). In the future there is a plan of building a new, bigger swimming hall - Verdensbadet, instead of the existing one, therefore it was part of the task to create different scenarios and possibilities for the masterplan of the campus. I had the opportunity to work on both rounds of the competition. In the first one I was working only on the masterplan part, though in the second it was both the masterplan and design of the Library and Assembly house.
ARCH. The goal was to create a new masterplan for the campus area which would bind all the functions together and create a new vibrant area in the neighborhood.

The Connected City 1st price_ 2 round competition_ location_ Hamburg, Germany
team_ ADEPT (Martin Laursen, Tatyana Eneva, Jens Peter Nielsen, Rikuro Sakaushi)_ Karres+Brands_ Transsolar KlimaEngineering responsibilities_ masterplan development, production of plans and inner detailing
“The connected city” is a winning development plan for the new district of Hamburg - Oberbillwerder. The site is nowdays an empty field surrounded by meadows, cultivated farming landscape and suburban sprawl of different typologies. Our goal was to create a future modern city district which would both be bringing something new but would also create a synergy between the existing and new. Site has an existing structure of water ditches, that creates a linear pattern, we used this characteristic as tool for creating new plots and structures. Mosaic of plots is cut by a green loop which encircles the plan and provides access to all neighborhoods, public buildings and recreational activities. The infrastructure ensures fast connection to Hamburg’s city center but prioritizes pedestrians, cyclists and public transport, while looking into the future of mobility. In both of the competition phases I was responsible for putting together the masterplan drawing, in several different scales. From the large overview to detailed plans of each of the neighborhoods.

This commision was an intensive process which took almost half a year during my internship in EFFEKT. Tingbjerg and Husum are troubled “ghetto” like neighbourhoods on the outskirts of Copenhagen. Municipality aims to create a lively young neighbourhood with the plan for the upcoming 20 years, which counts with densifying the areas, improving the safety and also integrating a new light rail. During the 5 months we studied possibilities how to improve the safety of the area, which involved reconstruction of the existing buildings, revitilizing the existing pathways and pocket parks. Another part of the commission was densifying the area with new infill structures as well as designing new housing, shopping center and social housing and to re-design the existing school. We were also working with the infrastructre of the area, mainly around the streets of Ruten and Bystævnet, which h ad to be completely redesigned for the future light rail.

Apartment Grossling
Apartment Grossling realization_ interior reconstruction_ location_ Bratislava,Slovakia team_ Vallo Sadovsky architects_ Oliver Sadovsky, Branislav Husarik responsibilities_ studies, 3d studies, documentation - floor plans, detailed drawings for the technicians
This project is a reconstruction of an old apartment for one of the partners of the office Vallo Sadovsky where I used to work before moving to Denmark. The apartment is situated in the center of Bratislava in an old residential building from the early 20th century. This beautiful apartment had many qualities such as huge common areas, preserved wooden floor and special tiling in the kitchen as well as vaulted ceiling, which we decided to reveal to it’s basic raw structure in the entrance and kitchen area. Design and whole reconstruction was determined by practical things as well as desires. Owner of the apartment is a musician, so the demand was to have space for pianino, or to design a bookshelf which would store vinyls. On the other hand the fiance had a desire for a bigger storage space and open kitchen. And of course there was a question about future baby extending the young family. On this project I had the opportunity to develop the project further into detail. Meaning making drawings for electricity, future fireplace and detailed plans for the bathroom design and kitchen.

Meeting Point Faculty of architecture_ Art work in architecture supervisor_ Ing. arch. Katarína Boháčová, PhD. Mgr. Bohuš Kováč team_ Eva Andrášová, Alžbeta Laurincová
Assignment was a direct commision from the organizators of GRAPE festival. It was simple - we could either design a meeting point or an entrance gate for the festival. The best design would be realized during this years festival. My team chose meeting point. Goal was affordable design, implement name of the festival to the design so it would be readeable from distance and from different angles and of course to design a place for people to meet, relax and enjoy the festival. Inside all of us there’s a little child that wants to play. When we were kids our meeting point were playgrounds. Now when we are big we all meet at festivals. Therefore our aim was to design a playground, where adults can play, relax and hide from the summer sun. To make our design as cheap as possible, we used scaffolding for structure. Each box made from scaffolding can have different use and function. To achieve shadow we used simple cloth. We wanted to make the name of the festival as interactive and as visible as possible. So we connected the letters with playground boxes. childhood meeting point = playground
adulthood meeting point - festival - playground
