The Missouri Athletic Club Charitable Society for Children’s* mission is to provide financial assistance to local St. Louis children’s charities and to give time and resources to the community. The charities are nominated by Members and employees of the MAC. The nominations are presented to the Charitable Society for Children Committee, which then chooses the three beneficiaries for the year. The CSC voted and decided on Covenant House, Girls on the Run and Kellsie’s Hope Foundation to be this year’s sponsored charities.

The Covenant House welcomes all youth who are runaway, trafficked, at-risked, or experiencing homelessness with unconditional love, absolute respect and a place to call home. Beyond shelter and basic needs, they deliver transformative solutions to help young people ages 16 to 24 build productive, independent and sustainable lives. Girls on the Run inspires girls third through eighth grade to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experiencebased curriculum, which creatively integrates running. Underscoring the important connection between physical and emotional health, this program addresses the whole girl at a critical age when society begins to tell them what they can and cannot do. Kellsie’s Hope Foundation provides HOPE to families that have children suffering from cancer by offering immediate support through trips and gifts (wishes) that might otherwise be unattainable. They are also dedicated to raising awareness and funds to support childhood cancer research and support the education of healthcare providers with an annual nursing scholarship.

*The CSC Committee is a permanent committee of the MAC Sports Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, which is eligible to receive tax-deductible donations.
