Raven Hill is nestled in a rural setting with ponds, swamps, forests & fields on 175 acres. It is the only place in northern Lower Michigan where children and adults can link science, history & the arts with hands-on activities and explorations both indoors and outdoors. Connections emerge through classes, exhibits and facilities that provide opportunites for all ages to learn, create, grow and play!

NEW! The Connections Trail

An outdoor half-mile long pathway with periodic learning stations so that families can get the same hands-on experiences that we have always had inside.

Main Museum

Hands-on activities including light, sound, motion, magnets, music, earth and life sciences.

Kitchen & Project Room

Location for many art classes, but also available for use with Great Room rental for your next event.

Periodic Room

The twenty foot long 3D Periodic Table of the Elements displays elements and products made with different elements.

Animal Room

Reptiles and amphibians that you can meet and hold, if you are up to the adventure!

Energy House

An off-the-grid house to show solar energy conversion and sustainable living. Open by request.

Watershed Model

Enjoy the sound of moving water. “Sail” a boat down the river. Model includes a waterfall, wetlands area and springs bubbling up from the ground. All three tributaries come together and flow down to the “lake.”

This boardwalk crosses the swamp and connects the main campus and Ancient World.
