Square Edge Strandfloor® is an all-purpose flooring material, ideal for clear finishing. The Tongue & Groove option is manufactured in the same way as the Square Edge, with the enhancement of a Polypropylene tongue that gives the required sheer strength and eliminates the need for solid timber nogs to the long edge. Strandfloor® Tongue & Groove does not require gluing along the edges, saving valuable building time.

The Laminex Group has been supplying Strandfloor® into the building industry for over 3 years. In that time over two million square metres of Strandfloor® has been laid in buildings up and down the country.

For performance in wet areas, Strandfloor® H3.1 boasts an improved resin composition, providing increased weathering performance (up to 12 weeks exposure time) and meets the current New Zealand Building Code requirements for use in wet areas.

Manufactured from locally grown Radiata Pine and available in four options all 20mm thick, Strandfloor® is becoming increasingly popular as a timber floor material and an ideal alternative to plywood or particle board flooring. Strandfloor® is manufactured by bonding strands of randomly layered Pinus Radiata with formaldehyde-free, moisture resistant resin and wax. The PMDI resin used in Strandfloor® is not affected by heat cycles, therefore making Strandfloor® suitable for use in homes with Under Floor heating.

Strandfloor® products can be laid in all weathers and walked on immediately. There is also a range of sheet sizes available to suit most situations. All Strandfloor® products are BRANZ appraised and meet the requirements of NZS 3604 for sheet flooring. Strandfloor® also meets the E0 low formaldehyde emissions level for reconstituted wood flooring. Strandfloor® is available from Mitre 10 and Mitre 10 Mega stores.
