TRAMSHED ARTISTS 1. Caroline Furneaux (UK) THE MOTHERS I MIGHT HAVE HAD The Mothers I Might Have Had began with the discovery of an archive of 35mm slides shot by the artist’s late father in the 1960s. “Absurd as this parlour game may be, there is something magical and poignant about the untold stories that each of us carries around. Stories that not even our closest friends or loved ones will ever know about. They are mostly invisible except for the traces we sometimes find in cardboard boxes, attics and drawers.” carolinefurneaux.com

3. Jan Stradtmann (DE) THIRD NATURE More than 50 years after the Vajont dam disaster in Italy (1963), Stradtmann uses photography including landscapes, portraits and still life shots of found objects, to document the current state of the site and transforms the disaster into a metaphor for flawed decision making. janstradtmann.de

2. Richard Ansett (UK) BIRTH – PORTRAIT OF THE ARTIST GRAYSON PERRY Multiple themes co-exist in this single piece BIRTH inspired by Ansett’s deeply personal relationship to the ‘inexhaustible mother and child motif’. Centuries of art history and religious symbolism are brought up to date in a camp parody of the 21st century and shot ‘in camera’. richardansett.com ORGANISED BY
