Long Section 1:50 This ‘macro-view’ shows how the proposed “back of house”, “front of house”, and transitory spaces interconnect within the existing fabric and proposed timber framework. The scope and design of the spaces is not fixed and will continue to grow through the fragments as the interventions are expanded upon. Likewise, the nature of the “final” representation is sketchy and ‘incomplete’. The existing fabirc is the only rigid part of the drawing (drawn by computer) while the proposed spaces have been drawn in by hand, allowing for areas to be erased and drawn over numerous times to mimick the nature of their phasing and construction. Inhabitation by people and everyday objects is as important as material and structure in imagining how the spaces will manifest and be used. FRAGMENT 3B
