I’m not getting many symptoms My periods have changed, I don’t have trouble sleeping, I’ve had tiny turning temperature up and a few headaches - which are probably hormonal. So it’s mostly the emotional, mental changes of not being a “young” woman anymore. It’s massive in our society.Trying to work out how to feel comfortable with myself, so reconciling myself I choose to practise what I preach (yoga) so acknowledging the changes and staying true to the person I am inside I don’t feel like I have to act like an old woman but my personal choice is not to dye my hair. My hair is grey - which comes with judgement from other women - so I’ll be looked at as an older woman but I’m on the journey towards accepting that It’s the time of life when I’m looking forward to and deciding what I want to do with the rest of my life That incudes assessing what I want to keep and what I want to let go of
As women we’re taught to give You have to turn inwards and put yourself first That’s how I see the menopause - it’s positive I embrace change and I feel like change is always a good thing
