I find the subject matter really fascinating and I’m talking to other people about it, more than I did 12 months ago. I had my children young so I’m going through the menopause with adult children. I can’t imagine what it would be like if the children were a lot younger I empathise with women who have younger children Myself and my partner are excited about entering “phase two” in our lives We are going to sell the house, rent in Manchester and ultimately move to a cabin in the woods. I empathise with women who are entering the menopause and who couldn’t have children and how that must feel

The night sweats are something I’ve never experienced before They are uncontrollable - there’s nothing I can do to prepare for it. I’m uncomfortable with that. I wonder how much of my negative behaviour I put down as the menopause are actually that or just me being a bit of a bitch It’s still an uncomfortable subject matter for a lot of people I find it really challenging that it’s still a subject to be ridiculed by men and women
