RACHEL PARRY

C/Our/Rage

Embodying inelegant otherness, embracing uncomfortable truths. I hold space that exposes the inky blows, as I lovingly lick the residues, Staining my tongue, speaking my truth. Healing is messy. Fiercely resilient, aggressively vulnerable, and tenderly powerful. Where the internal leaks outwards, to tenderly touch our boundaries. Expose lived-body wounds, these are my acts of survival, self-made rituals of radical healing. Raw, poetic, longing for communitas as it asks your gaze to look beyond what eyes can see. Reclaiming space. Dissolving time. Absurdity inside the repetition. Push/pull, inside/out/outside/inwards, where do I end and you start? At what point did they stop seeing us as human? I have so much to share with you, I invite you to read beyond this skin. Read beyond our lines. I will never go gently, too much is on the line for us all.

From days spent recording movement and sequences in the museum spaces, to early drawn conversations, objects, and prints.

It is a privilege to support and be part of an artist’s journey. We are delighted to share here some of the process that shaped the final film.
