The Barbican´s IDENTITY
The Barbican Estate is where home, comunity, art, and architectural beauty merge. The sense of community is strong, and varies amongst different groups, both in formal and casual ways. It tends to be used by both residents and visitors – and while visitors may come and go, they are always present. In this same way, many developments surrounding the Barbican have come and gone, and can lead to a change in the character of the surrounding area. We believe the Barbican Estate is an area of calm and tranquility in the busy City of London. Change is inevitable, but we would appreciate if this change works to protect this peaceful and quiet nature.
