EXICO
A brilliant blue sea, dry sunny climate, sandy beaches, striking desert scenery, exciting and diverse activities, warm friendly people, and a deluxe resort combine to make Los Cabos one of the most attractive, most interesting, and most fun destinations on earth. Los Cabos, or simply “Cabo”, lies at the southernmost tip of the Baja Peninsula in the Mexican state of Baja California Sur. The term “Los Cabos” does not refer to a specific town, but to an area that includes the towns of San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, and the 16 miles of land in between, known as the “Corridor”. It is along the Corridor that you find most of the hotels and golf courses, including our home, the deluxe Las Ventanas al Paraíso. By the way, the Spanish word “cabo” means “cape” (as in Cape Cod). So “Los Cabos” translates to “The Capes”. The Baja Peninsula is the result of a 50 million year-long tectonic slide that caused a strip of land approximately 65 miles wide by 800 miles long to split from the mainland. The result was the world’s longest peninsula. The formation of the peninsula resulted in the creation of the l

magnificent Sea of Cortez, the world’s youngest deep-water gulf. Just south of Cabo San Lucas where the bay meets the Pacific, the depth of the sea is almost two miles. This unique body of water supports more than 800 species of fish and sea mammals, which makes it the richest sea life environment on the planet. Human habitation in the peninsula began during the end of the last ice age about 8,000 years ago. European discovery started in 1533 when a group of mutineering Spanish pirates landed about 50 miles north of Los Cabos. In 1724 Jesuit missionaries arrived. Their mission — to persuade 50,000 indigenous Mexican Indians to see things their way, metaphysically speaking. The missionaries settled in San José del Cabo and spent their lives teaching the Ten Commandments. The pirates settled in Cabo San Lucas and spent their lives breaking them.

In the 1950s many of Hollywood’s actor sportsmen, including John Wayne, Desi Arnaz, and Bing Crosby discovered Cabo’s rich fishing grounds. The word got out and, little by little, hotels were built and the area developed. In 1973 the entire length of the Baja Peninsula was opened to motorists who could drive Mexico’s Route 1 from Tijuana to La Paz, a distance of almost 800 miles. In 1974 the international airport opened to flights from the United States. Then in the 1980s things really took off with the development of high-rise deluxe hotels, marinas, shops, restaurants, nightclubs, and golf courses. Today Los Cabos stands as one of the best resort destinations in the world.

NFORMATION
AIRLINE E TICKETS & FLIGHT ITINERARIES President’s Club attendees and guests will fly from their home cities to the San José del Cabo airport which serves Los Cabos, Mexico. Enclosed with this booklet is your electronic ticket (“e-ticket”) confirmation which includes a printed copy of your airline itinerary. Please check this information carefully, take special note of your departure time, and plan to arrive at the airport at least two hours before that time. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR TRAVEL We ask that you please take time to read this section carefully to understand exactly what documents you need for admission to Mexico and return to your home city or country. Citizens of all countries need a passport to enter Mexico. If you’re a citizen of the U.S. or Canada, your passport must be valid for your intended period of stay, which means that your passport must not expire before May 11, 2012. Citizens of the U.S. and Canada do not need a visa. If you’re a citizen of another country, your passport must be valid for 6 months from the day you depart Mexico. This rule also applies if you are required to connect through the U.S. You may also need a visa, which must be l
13
L
issued prior to departing for Mexico. If you are not a resident or citizen of the U.S. and you are first flying to the U.S. and then connecting to Los Cabos, you will need to check with the U.S. Consulate to see if a U.S. visa is required. If you are unsure of which document you need for admission, please visit the President’s Club website at www.spellmantravelreg.com/nimsoft.htm and click on the Passport/Visa link. Fees incurred for qualifier and guest passports and visas may be expensed back to Nimsoft. IMPORTANT: The name on your e-ticket must be exactly the same as your name appears on your passport. Mexican authorities require that each person entering the country must complete an immigration form. This form will be given to you by a flight attendant sometime during your flight to Los Cabos. Please complete the top and bottom parts of the form (the middle part is for those traveling on business) and sign it in two places. When you arrive in Mexico, the immigration officer will process the form and give you back the bottom section. Please keep it with your passport and surrender it to the airline officials when you leave Mexico. Do not lose this form, as you will be charged a fee to replace it! AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION Nimsoft is providing round-trip transportation between the airport and the hotel on President’s Club group arrival and departure dates of Monday, May 7th and Friday, May 11th. Travel between the hotel and the airport on all other dates is by personal arrangement and at your own expense. l

ETTING EADY FOR PRESIDENT’S CLUB CLIMATE The daytime temperature in Los Cabos will be between 80 and 85°F (27 – 29°C). Evening temperatures will be about 15°F (9°C) cooler. Los Cabos receives an average of .2 inches of rain for the month of May, so you can expect the weather to be dry and beautiful. SUGGESTED DRESS During the day tee shirts, shorts, and sandals are appropriate. At night things become a bit more formal. Nimsoft is hosting two evening events: our Welcome to Los Cabos Party, and an Awards Dinner. Casual evening attire is suggested for the Welcome Party — shirts and slacks or shorts for men, and sundresses or blouses with skirts, shorts or slacks for women. For the Awards Dinner, suggested dress is resort elegance. For gentlemen, collared shirts and slacks are required. Ladies can wear resort attire. On the evenings of Tuesday, May 8th and Thursday, May 10th you will have the opportunity to dine in your choice of restaurant. Dress for virtually all of the restaurants outside of the hotel is casual. If you are dining at the l
15
L
hotel, shirts and slacks are required for gentlemen and evening resort attire for ladies. PACKING SUGGESTIONS In addition to the above, on your packing list should be: • a lightweight jacket or sweater for evenings • comfortable walking or athletic-type shoes • a swimsuit or two and a cover-up • hat • sunglasses • camera & flashcard or film • an extra pair of eyeglasses or contact lenses • sunscreen (available everywhere, but you may not find your brand) If you take prescription medicine, you should bring enough to last the entire trip. Always pack medicine, passports and valuables in your carryon bag. Never pack them in the suitcases you check with the airlines. To avoid any possible customs problems both at home and in Mexico, keep the medicine in the container you received at the pharmacy. A couple of hints regarding dress: Swimsuits should be worn at the pool and beach only and not in any of the other public areas of the hotel or in town, so please pack a cover-up. Bring only the most essential jewelry (a safe can be found in the closet of your room). You will find a hair dryer in your bathroom. Pressing service is complimentary through your suite butler.
l
16
L
One last packing suggestion. Check-in time at Las Ventanas is 3:00 p.m. If you arrive before 3:00 p.m., there is a good chance your room may not be ready. It is therefore a good idea to pack a swimsuit, cover-up, and sandals in your carry-on bag. You may use the changing rooms at the spa and unwind by the pool or on the beach until your room is ready. Your luggage will be stored until then. INTERNATIONAL AIRLINES LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE Many airlines charge a fee for checked luggage. The fees vary from airline to airline, but those from the U.S. and most countries will allow one piece checked complimentary and you can expect to pay US$40.00 or more for the second. If you are charged to check luggage, you may expense the fee back to Nimsoft. In addition to your checked luggage, you are allowed one carry-on bag per person. U.S. airlines state dimensions may not exceed 45 inches and the weight may not exceed 40 lbs. You are also allowed a personal bag, which can include a camera case, briefcase, computer case, or purse. If traveling from a country other than the U.S., some airlines restrict the weight of carry-on luggage to 12 kg. (26 lbs.) Check with your carrier prior to traveling. Carry-on luggage restrictions are strictly enforced on international flights. LUGGAGE SECURITY If you are traveling within or connecting through the U.S., please be aware that the Transportation Security Administration has the authority to X-ray and open your luggage, so l
17
L
please do not lock your suitcases. If you do so and the inspectors choose to open your luggage they will, if necessary, break your lock. The X-ray machines used at U.S. airports can damage some 35 mm film. The damage occurs to films with a speed of 800 ASA or higher. Most of you will be using digital, but some of the disposable cameras use 800 speed film, so please look before packing film in your checked luggage. If in doubt, pack your film in your carry-on. Please check your carry-on bags carefully to make sure you have no sharp objects such as knives, or scissors. Smokers can bring one butane cigarette lighter or as many as three books of safety matches in their carry-on bag, provided they are declared to the security checkpoint agent. As you are aware, there are restrictions concerning toiletries, liquids and gels packed in your carry-on bag. The rule is basically that any cosmetics and toiletries in your carry-on must be in amounts of 3 oz. or less and must be packed together in one quart-size plastic re-sealable bag. When you arrive at airport security control, the sealed plastic bag must be removed from your carry-on and placed on the conveyor belt separately for screening, just like your laptop, your shoes, or any metal objects removed from your pockets. Please be aware that if you plan on bringing liquor or any other beverages such as water or soda from home, the bottle(s) must be packed in your checked luggage. Liquor purchased from a duty free shop or any beverage purchased from the secure area of the airport may be brought on board in your carry-on bag.
l
18
L
LUGGAGE TAGS Along with your e-ticket confirmation are your President’s Club luggage tags. Please print your name, address and cell/mobile phone number clearly on the tags and attach one to each of your checked suitcases. This will greatly assist in the identification of your luggage at the airport and hotel. It will speed up the delivery process if the name you print on the luggage tag is the same name you have given us to use for your e-ticket. MISPLACED LUGGAGE One of the unfortunate facts of travel life is that every once in a while a few pieces of luggage are misplaced by the airlines. We have all lived through it and understand how disconcerting it can be, especially when traveling long distances. The airlines have gotten better at keeping travelers and their bags together, but we still find that about 2% of our guests’ luggage will not arrive when they do. One further bit of real life: Because of the limited number of flights into Los Cabos, delayed luggage usually does not catch up with its owner for at least 24 hours. To increase the chance that your luggage arrives at the same time you do, please attach a President’s Club luggage tag to each of the suitcases you check with the airline. Many couples bring two suitcases and pack 50% of their clothes in each. Just in case one bag is lost, they still have 50% of their stuff. In addition, plan to arrive at your home airport about two hours before flight time. Finally, before walking away from the ticket counter, check that the
l
19
L
airline agent has tagged your luggage correctly. The three letter airport code for the San Jose airport in Los Cabos is SJD. If you do not see your luggage in the baggage claim area, please report the missing bag to an airline representative. You should complete a lost luggage form before leaving the area. Also, report the loss to a member of the President’s Club Travel Staff. With all of this in mind, we suggest you pack a clean shirt, swimsuit with cover-up, sandals, personal items, prescription medicine, and anything you can’t live without in your carry-on bag. ELECTRICITY The electrical service in Mexico is 110 volts, the same as in the U.S. Plugs are the U.S. flat two-prong style. If you are bringing an appliance that requires an electrical converter (which changes your power from 220 volts to 110) or an adapter plug, you must bring the converter or adapter with you, as you will not find them for sale in Los Cabos. Your room is equipped with a hair dryer. DUTY FREE ALLOWANCE Duty Free shopping is available at your international gateway city airport. Visitors are permitted to bring with them to Mexico three liters (quarts) of liquor and two cartons of cigarettes (400) or 50 cigars. Note that the definition of “Duty Free” means that the item purchased was free of duty in the country where it was purchased. Duty Free items purchased in the U.S. before your flight to Mexico are still subject to customs duty on your return home. l
20
L
If traveling to Mexico from a country outside of the U.S. and connecting through the U.S., you are permitted to bring only one liter of liquor and 200 cigarettes or 100 cigars. TIME ZONE During the time of your visit Los Cabos will be in the Mountain Standard Time Zone. When it’s 12 noon in Los Cabos, it’s... 11:00 a.m. in Los Angeles 2:00 p.m. in New York 7:00 p.m. in London 11:30 p.m. in New Delhi 4:00 a.m. the following day in Sydney HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES Most people return home from Los Cabos healthier than when they left home. The combination of fresh clean air, warm sun, and a relaxing way of life tends to be very good for the body and soul. Most health problems experienced by visitors are related to heat exhaustion, sunburn and dehydration. These problems can be avoided by using common sense — stay out of the midday sun, drink plenty of water, and use a strong sunscreen. If you take prescription medicine, bring enough to last the entire trip. The hotel has a doctor on call and there are pharmacies in Cabo San Lucas and San José, but seeing a doctor and going to a pharmacy will take up precious vacation time. Keep in mind that if there is a medication you literally “can’t live without”, do not leave home without it. We already wrote this next bit of advice in the packing suggestions, but it
l
21
L
deserves repeating: Always pack medicine, passports, and valuables in your carry-on bag and never in the suitcases you check with the airlines. To avoid any possible customs problems, keep the medicine in the container you received from the pharmacy. Travelers to Mexico always have concerns about the purity of the drinking water. Mexico’s older resort destinations such as Acapulco, Tijuana, and Ensenada had antiquated and often unsanitary water supplies. Los Cabos, however, is a very modern resort destination and the planners did a great job in seeing that the water supply to the hotels and major restaurants was fresh and pure. As a result, there are few cases of the traveler’s malady which became known to all as “Montezuma’s Revenge”. The good people at Las Ventanas know that some visitors are still cautious and supply each hotel room with bottles of mineral water daily, which are yours free of charge. If you want additional bottled water, call your butler’s extension and they will replenish it for you. Or stop by the President’s Club Hospitality Desk; we’ll have a supply of water daily. Please keep in mind that our “clean water” statement refers to the water in hotels and major restaurants. Please do not eat or drink anything sold from the carts of street vendors or small roadside shacks that is not bottled, such as soft drinks, or prepackaged, such as chips. MEDICAL EMERGENCY AND INSURANCE The hotel has a doctor on call at all times. In addition there is an excellent American clinic in Cabo San Lucas. Mexico, like the United States, does not offer free medical care to citizens of l
22
L
other countries. In the unlikely event that you require medical attention, expect to pay by cash or credit card for the service when it is rendered. You may then submit the claim to your insurance company when you return home. Nimsoft has purchased travel health insurance through AIG Insurance Company for employees and guests not covered by their medical insurance while traveling. If you require medical attention, expect to pay by cash or credit card for the service when it is rendered. You may then submit the claim to AIG when you return. Any amount not covered by AIG Insurance can be submitted to your medical insurance at home. EMERGENCY PHONE NUMBERS If there is an emergency at home, your family should first try your cell phone. If unsuccessful, they should call the Las Ventanas resort at +52 624 144 2800 and ask for your room. If there is no answer in your room, and the call is between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., the caller should ask to be connected to the President’s Club Hospitality Desk. Our staff will take the message and do their best to locate you. MONEY MATTERS The Peso The unit of exchange in Mexico is the Mexican Peso. The symbol for the peso is the same as the dollar, but you may see it written N$ (“N” designating “new” pesos) to distinguish it from U.S. dollars. The peso is further divided into 100 centavos. Coins are minted in 5, 10, 20, and 50 centavos, and 1, 2, 5, 20, and 50 pesos. Notes are printed in denominations of 10, 20, 50, 100,
l
23
L
200, and 500 pesos. As of early April, the exchange rate was 12.7 pesos to one U.S. dollar. You will find that U.S. dollars are accepted just about everywhere, but often the shops and restaurants will not have a supply of U.S. coins and cannot make change. You are best served by changing some dollars into pesos at a bank, currency exchange facility, or at the hotel. Please note that U.S. dollars are not accepted as payment anywhere at the resort. Most restaurant menu prices are quoted in pesos. Some shops will quote prices in pesos, others will quote in dollars, and still others will quote in both. To avoid confusion, shops will often differentiate U.S. dollars from pesos by writing “US$5.00”, or “5.00 USD”. When in doubt, just ask. Credit Cards Major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, and American Express are accepted in many shops and restaurants. Please do not assume that small restaurants or shops will accept credit cards. The hotel can accept Visa, MasterCard or American Express in payment of your bill. ATMs There is an Automatic Teller Machine at the resort. You will also find ATMs in Cabo San Lucas and in San José del Cabo. Major U.S. bank cards function in these machines. Please keep in mind that the machines will dispense pesos, and that the amount shown on the screen is in pesos. Incidental Expenses The hotel will establish an incidental account for you when you check in. You may then charge to your room any personal expenses not covered l
24
L
by Nimsoft. Such expenses include: laundry, telephone charges, mini bar, beverages other than described in the itinerary, and room service. Remember, the hotel accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express only. Personal checks are not accepted. If paying by cash, the hotel accepts only pesos. Gratuities Gratuities are included for bellmen, maids, your personal butler and all Nimsoft sponsored events and meals. When dining on your own, it is customary to leave 10 to 15% for waiters and bartenders. Taxi drivers are tipped about 10% of the fare. At Las Ventanas, 15% is added to all checks. No additional tipping is necessary. RETURNING HOME Return Flights Your return flights will be reconfirmed for you by the Travel Staff. If you have any questions about these flights, please see the staff at the President’s Club Hospitality Desk. On Wednesday night you will receive a departure notice in your room. It will confirm your flight departure time and specify the time to have your luggage available for collection and the time to leave the hotel for the airport. If you have any questions, please contact a member of our Travel Staff. U.S. CUSTOMS If you are a returning U.S. citizen or resident, or if your flight is connecting in the United States, you must clear customs at your first U.S. point of entry. So, if your home city is Seattle, but your first U.S. stop on your return from Mexico is Dallas, you will clear U.S. Immigration and Customs in Dallas. When you check in for your l
25
L
flight, the airline representative will hand you a U.S. customs form. You are required to complete this form before presenting yourself and your luggage to the customs inspector at your first point of entry. U.S. residents returning from Mexico may bring home US$800.00 worth of goods duty free. In addition, each person is allowed one quart (liter) of liquor and 200 cigarettes or 100 cigars (not of Cuban origin). If you exceed these limits, you will be charged 10% duty on all purchases over US$800.00. Families may pool their exemptions, so a husband and wife traveling together have an allowance of US$1600.00, two quarts of liquor, and 400 cigarettes or 200 cigars. On the back of the customs form, you will see an area where you can list your purchases. It is only necessary to complete this section if you have exceeded your allowances. Important note to cigar smokers flying to or connecting in the U.S.: You will find Cuban cigars on sale in Los Cabos. While you are welcome to buy all you want, you should plan to smoke all you buy in Mexico. U.S. Customs regulations forbid the importation of Cuban cigars into the United States. We strongly suggest that you do not test the system. Customs officials can arrest you, fine you, plus take the cigars. Furthermore, they can make travel life miserable for you for years to come.

“WHEN IN LOS CABOS...” • Although Los Cabos functions at a more relaxed pace than most of us are accustomed to, the quality of service is excellent. We expect that you will find most of the comforts you have at home, and even a few that you don’t. • Our Mexican hosts are a very friendly and courteous people. The locals will usually greet you with a “Good Morning” (Buenos Dias), or a “Good Afternoon” (Buenas Tardes), or a “Good Evening” (Buenas Noches). It is common practice to return the salutation before beginning a conversation. • When traveling to and from town on your own, the most convenient way to get around is by taxi. Taxis are metered and the fares are reasonable. For example, a taxi ride from the hotel to Cabo San Lucas (approximately 30 minutes) is about l
28

US$30.00 one-way, for up to 4 passengers. Taxi drivers may not carry much change so be prepared to give them bills of small denominations. You will find most taxi drivers very courteous. Most speak some English, but to ensure they understand you, please speak slowly. • As a rule, leave your passport in the safe in your hotel room. Many people think they need to have their passports with them at all times; this is not true. Most documents are lost when their owners take them out for a walk. As a further precaution, we strongly suggest you make a photocopy of the ID page of your passport and pack it in a different location from the original. In case your passport is lost, you will need to report the loss to local immigration officials. A photocopy of your document will reduce the time you spend discussing the matter with them. • While sightseeing or shopping, don’t leave cameras or other valuables unattended. Street crime is rare, but let’s help keep honest people honest. • Street and beach vendors are a way of life in Mexico. You’ll find some of their wares worth a second look and some not. The vast majority of the vendors are courteous and a simple “no thank you” will send them on their way. • Swimsuits may be worn at the pool and beach only and not in the other public areas of the hotel or in town.

• The more upscale restaurants have “smoking” and “no smoking” sections. However, small beachfront restaurants do not. LANGUAGE It will come as no surprise that the official language of Mexico is Spanish. If you have not been to Los Cabos before, however, you may be surprised to find how many locals speak English. Don’t worry about being able to communicate, as most everyone you come into contact with will speak some English. Please keep in mind that English will be a second language for these folks. We have found that most service problems are not the result of incompetence or a negative attitude, but simply a result of misunderstanding your request. When dealing with a waiter or taxi driver, please speak slowly and try to avoid the use of any slang or vernacular expressions. USEFUL WORDS & PHRASES If you want to give Spanish a try, here are some useful phrases: Good Morning..................Buenos Dias Good Afternoon ..............Buenas Tardes Good Evening ..................Buenas Noches Hello ................................Hola How are you? ....................Como está usted? Fine, thanks........................Muy bien, gracias Good-bye ........................Adios Please ..............................Por favor Thank you ........................Gracias You’re welcome................De nada l

PRESIDENT’S CLUB ACTIVITIES During your stay in Los Cabos, you will have the opportunity to participate in one of three exciting activities, including: Baja buggies, deepsea fishing and spa. These are the same activities you were able to sign up for during the period of online registration. If you have registered for an activity, when you arrive at the hotel on May 7,th a member of our Travel Staff will confirm your activity date and time. If you have not signed up for an activity but wish to do so, the staff will check availability for you. A complete description of the activities is included in the back of this booklet. l

Should you choose to indulge in a treatment or two at the spa at your own expense, we encourage you to plan ahead and call the spa directly, since appointments are in high demand. The Las Ventanas Spa can be reached by calling the resort at +52 624 144 2800 and ask to be connected to the spa. SHOPPING Both Cabo San Lucas and San JosĂŠ del Cabo offer a variety of interesting shops. The prices are very much the same in both towns. Best buys are locally made arts and crafts items such as ceramics, pottery, silver, textiles, jewelry, straw hats and baskets, and wooden and stone carvings. Within these general groupings, you will find all levels of craftsmanship, from souvenirs for the kids to the highest quality keepsakes for your home. Bargaining, an honored Mexican tradition, is done only at the open-air markets. Prices in the boutiques and hotels are fixed. In addition to the handicrafts, you will find plenty of shops carrying an abundant supply of tee shirts, sunglasses, swimsuits, and colorful tropical clothing. Many shops accept credit cards, but you will need cash in the smaller shops and open-air markets. Shopping

hours vary, but as a rule most are open from 9:00 or 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 or 8:00 p.m. Some boutique shops close for siesta between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. In 2010, the Mexican Government passed a law restricting the use of U.S. dollars for cash purchases in Mexico. Under this law, Mexican hotels, exchange booths and local banks can exchange a maximum of US$1,500.00 cash per person per month into pesos. Further, Mexican businesses (restaurants, shops, tour operators, etc.) may allow a maximum of US$100.00 cash per transaction; however, the number of transactions per customer is not restricted. Other payment methods such as credit cards, travelers checks and non-American foreign currencies such as Euros are currently not affected by this new law. As an example, if a customer wants to purchase artwork that costs US$150.00, the customer will only be able to pay US$100.00 in cash and the remainder will need to be another form of payment (credit card, travelers checks, Mexican Pesos, etc.).

TELEPHONE CALLS Long distance calls can be made directly from your room. Direct dial calls are very expensive, about $8.00 per minute. If you prefer to use a long distance calling card, the resort’s operators will be happy to connect you to your long distance provider. CELL PHONES Most cell phones will function in Mexico (assuming you have the appropriate call plan), but roaming fees will apply. If unsure of your plan, contact your cell phone service provider to inquire before leaving for Los Cabos. WEIGHTS AND MEASURES Mexico uses the metric system of weights and measures. 1 meter = 39.36 inches (about a yard) 1 liter = 1.05 quarts 1 kilogram (kg) = 2.2 lb 1 kilometer = 0.62 mile (For an approximate conversion of kilometers to miles, multiply the number of kilometers by 6 and move the decimal point one place to the left. For example, 20 kilometers equals about 12 miles. The temperature is measured in Celsius degrees. To convert Celsius to Fahrenheit you have to multiply the temperature in Celsius by 1.8 and add 32, which may be a bit difficult to do in your head. For a close approximation, take the temperature in Celsius, multiply by 2 and add 30. For example to convert 25°C to Fahrenheit, multiply 25 by 2 = 50, and add 30 = 80 (actual is 77°F). l

Monday, May 7th DEPART HOME Please take a moment to check your e-ticket confirmation enclosed with this trip booklet to be sure of your airline and departure time. If it is missing, or if you have any questions regarding your itinerary, now is the time to call Spellman Travel at +1 (617) 723-2000 or email them at Nimsoft@spellmantravelpartners.com. Before you leave home for the airport... Please be sure you have the following in your possession: • Valid passport • E-ticket confirmation • Luggage with President’s Club tags attached • Prescription medication packed in your carry-on bag • Cash and credit cards At your home city or originating airport… Airlines request that you arrive at the airport two hours prior to departure time. When you l

arrive at the ticket counter, the agent will want to see your e-ticket confirmation, and your passport. If you are departing from or connecting through the U.S., all of your checked luggage will be screened and may be opened by inspectors, so remember not to lock your luggage. If you do, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has the authority to open it anyway, which may mean breaking your lock. Please make sure you have no sharp objects such as knives, scissors, or corkscrews in your carry-on bag. Any toiletry or cosmetic containers or aerosols that are larger than 3 ounces (100 ml) need to be packed in the luggage you will check with the airlines. Before walking away from the airline counter, look at the claim checks to see that your luggage has been tagged properly all the way to Los Cabos. (The three letter airport code you should see on the tag is SJD.) If you haven’t flown in a while, you may be surprised by the lack of food service on board. The type of meal service will be noted on your flight itinerary, but it may be a good idea to ask the airline agent at check-in. You may want to have something to eat before you board the plane or buy some snacks for the flight. After check-in, you will need to clear airport security before proceeding to your departure gate. This process may take longer than airline check-in, so please allow plenty of time. At the entrance to the security checkpoint, you can expect to have your boarding pass and passport checked at least once. Your mission here is to get through the metal detector without setting it off. To do so, before passing through the metal l

detector remove your cell phone and all metal objects from your pockets and place them in a plastic tray you will find next to the x-ray machine. If wearing a large belt buckle or watch, a jacket or coat, you should remove it as well. Most airports require that you take off your shoes and send them through the x-ray machine. If you are traveling with a laptop computer, you must remove it from whatever case it is in and place it by itself in a plastic tray. Finally, the re-sealable plastic quart-size (litersize) bag containing no more than 3 ounces (100 ml) of each of your toiletries and cosmetics must be removed from your carry-on bag and placed in a tray and sent through the machine too. Remember, you will not be allowed to carry liquids other than medication and the small amounts of toiletries through security, so wait to buy something to drink until after you have cleared security. Congratulations, the hard part is over. You may now proceed to your departure gate and wait for your flight to be called. During the flight‌ Relax, sit back and enjoy the flight. Soon you’ll be lounging on one of the best beaches in one of the best resorts in Mexico. Sometime during the trip a flight attendant will give you Mexican immigration and customs forms. You should complete both of these forms before landing. In case of flight delays en route... If you experience a delay and miss your flight, please call Spellman Travel at +1 (617) 723-2000. passenger ticketed by Spellman Travel and give the code A2PØ. The agent will book you on the next available flight and inform our Travel Staff in Los Cabos of your new arrival time. Every once in a while, bad weather, air traffic, or mechanical delay will require the airlines to reroute passengers to a different flight and maybe even a different airline. If this happens, our Travel Staff won’t have any idea where you are. It is possible, therefore, that when you arrive at the Los Cabos Airport no one is there to meet you. If this is the case, don’t get flustered (you have obviously had a bad day already). Simply take a taxi (which will cost you around US$75.00) to Las Ventanas and ask to be directed to the private President’s Club check-in, where a member of the Travel Staff will reimburse you for the taxi fare. ARRIVAL IN LOS CABOS Welcome to Mexico! Upon arrival, you will be directed to Mexican Immigration where you will present your passport and Mexican immigration form. The immigration officer will keep the larger top part of the form and give you the smaller part. Keep this part of the form with your passport. You will need to surrender it to the airline representative when you leave Mexico. Just past immigration you will find the baggage claim area. You should collect your luggage, put it through one of the nearby x-ray machines and proceed to Mexican customs. Luggage carts are available free of charge. Customs is an interesting process. As you approach the customs officials, you will see several yellow eye-level traffic stoplights. As you approach the stoplight, you l

will be directed to push a button. If the light turns green, you may pass through customs and into the arrivals area. If the light turns red, the customs officials may ask to inspect your suitcases. Regardless of the color of the light, at this point you will surrender the customs form. If you do not see your luggage, please locate the airline representative and inform him or her of the situation. You will be required to complete a lost luggage form before leaving the airport. In addition, please report the loss to the member of the President’s Club Travel Staff who greets you outside of the arrivals area. Our staff will stay in contact with the airlines and help locate your luggage. As you exit the customs hall you will first enter a big room filled with time-share salespeople. These people will talk to you as though they are there to assist you in getting to the hotel. The truth is they are there to try to sell you a timeshare. Unless you are interested in this sort of thing, we strongly suggest you keep walking until you see a President’s Club sign. As you exit this strange room, the President’s Club Travel Staff will greet you and direct you to the transportation for the 30 minute ride to the resort. Once outside the customs area, take a deep breath and relax. For the next few days you can forget all about airport procedures, airplanes, immigration forms, customs regulations, and making sure your tray is in the “upright and locked position”. Unlike hotel registration taking place at the front desk the way we’re all used to, at Las Ventanas you are registered by your butler in the privacy of your own room. The butler will ask you for your credit card information, which will be used to cover the cost of any incidental purchases made during your stay. Please remember the resort accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express only. The rest of the day is yours to spend exploring this wonderful resort. Note: Check-in time at Las Ventanas is 3:00 p.m. Should you arrive before 3:00 p.m., your room may not be ready. Your luggage will be stored, and you may have lunch, or use the resort’s spa to change into your bathing suit and take a swim in the pool or a stroll on the beach. 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. Please join us on the beach for a “Welcome to Los Cabos” party. Staff will direct you to the airline check-in counter where you will be required to show your passport and e-ticket confirmation, and surrender your Mexican Immigration form. Make sure your luggage is checked through to your final destination. Your flight will board about 30 minutes before departure time, so give yourself plenty of time to clear security. After you clear security, you will find a couple of small snack bars, a duty free store, and a few souvenir shops. Once on board the aircraft, you can again relax and take a few moments to remember Los Cabos: the golden sunshine, caressing breezes, pristine waters, stunning scenery, Las Ventanas Resort, and the warm and friendly Mexican people. Thank you for making President’s Club a great event and have a pleasant trip home. If you are traveling to or connecting through the U.S., an airline attendant will give you a U.S. Customs form during the flight. You only need to complete one form per family. (For customs details, please refer to the “U.S. Customs” section of this booklet.) You will clear U.S. immigration at your first point of entry into the United States. You then enter the customs hall where you must collect your luggage and clear customs. If continuing on to another city, just outside of the customs hall you will find a “Connecting Flights” conveyor belt on which you should place your checked luggage. It will be taken to your next flight. Airline personnel will be on hand to assist. You may then make your way to your departure gate. On the way, you will be subjected to another security check, so have your boarding pass and passport handy. l

Two people share a buggy, so you either take turns driving or one person drives and the other rides. It is about 30 minutes to the facility, and you’ll be on the buggy for about 2 ½ hours. All riders will be equipped with helmet, goggles and bandana. You will get very dusty so don’t wear your favorite shirt. Closed-toe shoes are MANDATORY. Water and a snack will be provided. Due to the bumpy nature of the ride and the Buggy’s tight suspension, pregnant women, and people with back or heart problems should not participate in this activity.
