Modern building development responds to the needs of creative individuals. Open space and galvanizing colours make these newly-developed constructions the showpiece of Szczecin.
Buildings F1, F2, F3 and F4, sharing a common space, will house start-ups and developed companies operating in the modern-technology sectors. A restaurant patio situated between the buildings and a glass entrance lobby create meeting-conducive environment facilitating new contacts and experience transfer that constitute the basis for new products and services.
The building’s architecture responds to technical requirements for a data centre which is to house servers, while also offering the so-called “confidential office” for the storage and processing of documents marked as “classified” or “confidential”.

■■ The area around Technopark Pomerania offers a new, open public space for the city residents offering - with, welcoming layout – greenery, lamp posts, benches, a sport pitch, and a modern infrastructure comprising internal roads and car parks – made of distinctive green asphalt. ■■ Its 270 parking spaces, including also spaces for bikes, will be available in the underground and outdoor car parks.

BUSINESS COOPERATION IN WELL-DESIGNED SPACE The facility provides also a two-storey conference room with 200 sq. metres of available space and a restaurant accessible also from the outside through an open terrace overlooking the park.
The space available for office users and Technopark visitors comprises a two-floor atrium with a glass ceiling.
The interiors offer internal courtyards surrounded with offices. Such a solution allows companies to use the available space for organising meetings, conferences, exhibitions and take advantage of a common lobby.
Also, the facility is planned to provide space for lunch bar and a kindergarten.

MAIN OBJECTIVES PURSUED BY TECHNOPARK The Science and Technology Park of Szczecin – the company administering Technopark Pomerania – is an experienced business environment institution, which has been in operation for over 12 years to support entrepreneurs in Szczecin and the IT industry.
■■ 20 IT companies use the incubation programme at Technopark Pomerania, ■■ The Technopark, supporting 6 local IT organisations, creates a business-relation network, ■■ Cooperation with 40 scientists, who declared their willingness to work with businesses and put knowledge to business use, ■■ Each year, nearly 150 IT specialists improve their qualifications on certified training sessions co-financed from EU funds, ■■ Each year, the Technopark organises or supports approx. 20 IT industry-specific and promotional events, ■■ Annually about 1,000 people take part in the events organised by the Technopark, ■■ Over 30 companies using Virtual Office services.
THE ICT INDUSTRY ENVIRONMENT IN TECHNOPARK POMERANIA The following organisations and informal support groups operating in the IT industry are headquartered in the Technopark: The Western Pomerania ICT Cluster – an association of 60 ICT companies operating in the region, the Netcamp Foundation, the Szczecin Unix and Linux Users Group (SZLUUG), and new foundations such as Aegis and FROME. The Technopark also serves as the coordinator for a series of events promoting new technologies – the Szczecin IT Day “InfoTrendy”.
