Search engine optimization (SEO) is a process of the increasing the visibility of the website, webpages over the internet. There are large numbers of search engines present over the internet that helps the user to locate the websites over the internet. The search engine optimization is the process that helps to make the search effective, such that when users enter the name of the website or the webpage, they could find it on the top of their search. It is a process of getting traffic from the search result on search engines. If site appears frequently in the search results list, then the increases the calculation of visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of searches which include image search, video search, news search, location search etc. The major search engines over the internet are google, yahoo, bing etc. where we can search the webpages and other content such as images and videos and the ranking is based on what search engine considers best for the users. There are two main ways of performing the search engine optimization process: 1. On page SEO 2. Off page SEO The work of SEO starts when we start working on the website. After that we start finding the keywords of that website. Then the content pages of that website are created. On Page SEO search ranking factors are those that are entirely within the publisher’s own control.
Off page SEO It is the process to increase the visibility of the website. Let us suppose we have created a new website, then our next task is to increase the ranking of the website.
