INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER

WHO My name is Martín Kugelmass, I’m a 24 year old Industrial Designer from Uruguay. I take the industrial design as a state of mind, paying attention to the things that suround me, wondering what to change and what to re-do of the things that are in my environment. This portfolio is a journey through my mind in the past five years

JIRALI The Jirali design has been selected as a finalist in the Sal達o Design 2015 competition. Jirali targets children and has been inspired in giraffes; its been designed and built in wood in a Ready to Assemble (RTA) format, with several varnishes that accomplish the giraffe color pattern finish.

It combines two complementary functions. The table, designed to support both toys and books; and the lamp, which can be adjusted both their height and their intensity.

“Created specially for children’s bedroom, the multifunctional furniture serves as a support for toys, and can be used at the bedside as it has a directional light. It’s giraffe design translate the playful universe of children” Salao Design Blog

The Armchair is designed with Hanex- made features which allow the mounting of the table top, providing a good fit and strong support. This feature provides dual-functionality to the armchair enabling the user to use the table as a desk to place a laptop or as a dinning table.
