A NEW SPACE OF HETERARCHY Year: 2018 Place: Berlin, Germany Project type: Park with mixed uses, Academic Professor: Roger Bundschuh, Jasper Cepl (2nd advisor)
The site is anlalyzed by decomposing it into its own basic layering systems to understand its physical and functional constitution and the evolution of itself. As explained by Eisenman, ´Superposing´, refers to a coextensive, horizontal layering with no stable ground or origin, where ground and figure fluctuate between one and other. Superposing the historical research of Berlin´s city core with today´s development and actual urban setting will lead the proposal to the expected outcome. Planar and spatial characteristics of the site will be the result, producing different relations and variations of form and program within a system. Finally, creating and establishing the neccesary relationships between each layer to create a dialectic plane. Emphasizing the space ´in-between´, creating a dialogue between layers calling for a different type of interaction.

MARX-ENGELS-FORUM, MITTE, BERLIN
It´s priviledged location between Alexanderplatz and the Spree river creates an axis between the Tv Tower and the new ´Berlin Palace´. Dwelling on the plot between Spandauer Straße, Karl-Liebknecht Straße, Rathaus Straße and the Spree. Before World War II the area now occupied by Marx-EngelsForum was a densely populated Old Town quarter between the river and Alexanderplatz, named after a street called Heiligegeiststraße (Holy Ghost Street) which ran across it between Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße (now KarlLiebknecht-Straße) and Rathausstraße. The area including the main post office and the Militar Academy was heavily bombed in 1944/45 and most of its buildings reduced to ruins.

Superposing the historical research of Berlin´s city core with today´s development and actual urban needs will lead the proposal to the expected outcome. Planar and spatial characteristics of the site will be the result, producing different relations and variations of form and program within a system. Finally, creating and establishing the neccesary relationships between each layer in order to develop a program.

COOP HOUSE Year: 2017 Place: Berlin, Germany Project type:Housing, Academic Professor: Sam Chermayeff
Building a native american sweatlodge is the conceptual idea of the project: radial functionality of the structure and the indoor spatial relations, both focusing on the central core of the design. The core acts as the main public area of the unit which can be used as a living room, dinning table and also a space for discussions, analog to the situation of the sweatlodge. From that central public point more private and intimate spaces start circuling around it until the perimeter of the circle with the most private spaces. Round buildings use less wall, floor and roof materials to enclose the same square footage as a rectangular structure. 15 to 20% less material is used to create the same square foot building compared to a rectangular design! This means the possibility for a smaller eco-footprint and more living space for less cost. It also means less sur face area in con tact with adverse weather conditions, which improves the overall durability and energy effi ciency of the home.

PRISHTINA CULTURAL CENTRE Year: 2017 Place: Prishtina, Kosovo Project type:Cultural Centre, Academic Professor: Prof. Alfred Jacoby
New prefabricated cities exemplify the totalitarian tendency of modern capitalism organization of life: lives reduced to pure triviality of the repetitive combined with the obligatory absortion of an equally repetitive spectacle. In this sense, the project rises from the basic premise of seeking new forms for creating habitable spaces designed for human interactions, enabling creativity, fun and freedom. Using density as main tool for creating a controlled chaos of uses and ´carved´ spaces inside the city in which the program starts to develop freely, allowing new forms come to life substituting the old and strict hierarchy of forms and spaces. Therefore a new ground is set above the site making the figure and ground relationship hard to grasp using vertical circulations to connect both ground-figure and ground: giving the city a new fixed program but also the opportunity for them to start developing their city on their on way setting the framework in which new program can be added by its citizens empowering new situations for human interactions.

PATIO HOUSE Year: 2016 Place: Querétaro, Mexico Project type: Housing Collaborators: Paola Alvarado
PATIO House is located in Santiago de Querétaro, one of the fastest growing cities in México. Querétaro has a mild temperate climate with dry winters and warm summers making it a design premise and the starting point of the design process. With a program of necessities of one master bedroom and two extra bedrooms besides kitchen, living room, and dinner area. The clients brief for this project emphasized the importance of commodity to be used by two persons as it would be by five with the possibility of one shared space where family, friends can get together.
