Sketch Renderings can be generated fairly quickly from ArchiCAD. They look pretty good and are often a preferable alternative to Elevations in Schematic Design. There are many settings for line-weight, shadow, etc.

The full assembly is most easily adjusted in the 3D view. Use the marquee or selection to isolate the stair for easier adjustment. Drag and stretch each component to fit as needed. If "Auto riser height" is on, the correct riser height is calculated and the total number of rises is displayed for the Steel Stair Assembly current story floor to floor height. Published:7/2/2008
Stairs can be set onto floor slabs by snapping the lower landing back past the first riser. Landing length adjustments.
3D Model SECTION DIAGRAM
Stair visibility is controled with cut line adjustments on each story independently. The cut line position sets how many steps to show (and the length of the arrow if shown). Snap below the bottom step to hide. A zero cut angle causes the whole symbol to display (no cut line). Most dimensions are directly adjustable in 3D. The rise and run of the stair are linked and adjust together.

Most common stair types will be modeled using the QKA standard stair parts. These consist of single runs of concrete, steel or wood stairs which may be used singly for simple straight runs or assembled to create "L", "U" or other multiple flight stairs. The stairs can have landings at the top and bottom and the landings may be joined and "U" Shaped Stair on Home Story extended both left and right.
DETAILS OF ASSEMBLIES ARE SHOWN WITH FILLS AND INSULATION SYMBOLS.

RENDERINGS FOR PRESENTATION Projects range from small additions to large (15,000 sf.) single family residences. These images are produced from late schematic design through design development for client presentations. Most are single frames from QTVR object files (fly arounds). Completeness and level of detail increases with the progress of the design. Early schematic design is developed with hand drawings and clay models.
