CONTENTS
PERSONAL STATEMENT I am a driven, enthusiastic, multilingual leader and team player, able to work diligently under pressure and embrace challenges. Through professional practice, I have obtained valuable skills, taking multiple projects from initial space planning, through all phases of design and project completion. This has enabled me to develop critical problem-solving and analytical skills as well as a confident character in sales, presentations, and contract administration. As a designer, I am deeply interested in the effect all scales of design can have on life quality. Having lived in seven countries in four continents throughout my life, as well as participated extensively in travel education while in university, I have become increasingly interested in the comprehensive impact of architecture, urban and interior design, and the spaces, networks and relationships of the design of a city have on its inhabitants. My intent is to continue to grow and learn, approaching each project individually to create solutions that are thoroughly researched, thoughtfully conceived, and sustainable Thank you for considering my portfolio. It would be an honor to join your team.

OCEAN VIEW HOUSE
OCEAN VIEW HOUSE KEY BISCAYNE, FL
PROJECT DESCRIPTION Designed as a three story house overlooking Biscayne Bay and downtown Miami, Ocean View House fully exploits its location, amplifying views of the city and bay, and allowing for natural crossventilation. The ground floor glass facade to be completely removed, eliminating the distinction between indoors and outdloors.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Conceptual 3D modeling - Schematic drawings and diagrams - Preparation of presentations

FULL FLOOR TENANT RENOVATION
FULL FLOOR TENANT RENOVATION MIAMI, FL
PROJECT DESCRIPTION Full floor renovation for local corporate offices of a New York-based service company. The design remained budgetconscious, following a straight-forward and simple plan, and spending resources on feature areas, such as the elevator landing and lobby, boardrooms, and a lively cafe. Finishes were carefully curated to subtly evoke elements of Miami’s natural beaches and reefs, which are visible from three sides of the office perimeters.
RESPONSIBILITIES - Client contact & presentations - Design development & specifying - Conceptual 3D modeling - Custom millwork design - Coordination w/ engineers & consultants - Oversight of construction documents production - Construction administration - Furniture package oversight and coordination - Permit processing & coordination

MIXED USE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT
IRON MARKET, A CATALYST FOR COMMERCE AND COMMUNITY LITTLE HAITI, FL
PROJECT DESCRIPTION In order to help Little Haiti transition from being an impoverished and crime-prone area of Miami into a thriving commercial and residential community, we proposed a system based on commercial zoning and a series of urban parks that range in scale including fully pedestrian park-streets, semipublic parks and courtyards, residential parks in the sky, and private balcony gardens. The area is designed to be stimulated economically through a phased commercial development, creating revenue for the community and thus improving life quality for its inhabitants.
PROCESS Large urban blocks of small single-family homes were reimagined as large-scale mixed-use buildings based on traditional colonial courtyard buildings, stimulating community activity and involvement both in the interior individual courtyards, as well as on the Iron Market Stroll - a central pedestrian artery lined with restaurants and commerce. The name IRON MARKET derives from the Iron Market in Port Au Prince, Haiti - a prominent and iconic location for commerce, exchange and a sense of community, qualities which we hope to emulate throughout our project.

FACING THE VOID: DE-INDUSTRIALIZATION AND THE GENOESE WATERFRONT GENOVA, ITALY
PROJECT DESCRIPTION The city of Genoa, Italy currently suffers from pos-industrial isolation from its seafront, forcing its citizens to travel to adjacent towns to enjoy the sea they have across the street. As one of the largest intact medieval centers in Europe, negative space, or voids, are undoubtedly valuable petri dishes for opportunity. This project explores the voids left by a departed ship-building industry, and how these spaces can be activated to create amenities for its citizens, which have an intrinsic relationship with the sea.
PROCESS As a first phase, a shipyard would be transformed into a public island, by cutting a canal between the peninsula and land. The island becomes Genoa’s face when ships enter the port, and negotiates the interstitial space between land and water. It calls out Janus, Genoa’s mythical bi-cephalic god which looks in two directions simultaneously. The dry-docks and other aspects of the island are maintained and developed as adaptive reuse in order to honor Genoa’s glorious industrial past. As a second phase, what is currently a two story highway shall be re-routed underground, and repurposed as a linear park, bringing back a centuries old “passegiatta” that used to run along the city’s coast. This elevated park will be the city’s artery connecting public spaces and green areas along the city’s perimeter, and acting as a catalyst for future redevelopment along the water.

WINERY EXPANSION MASTERPLAN Collaboration with owner & Professor Camilo Rosales HOMESTEAD, FL
PROJECT DESCRIPTION A semester-long research and business plan proposal for a local small farm, wishing to exploit the Redlands’ potential for agrotourism. The owners had owned the fruit farm for a couple decades, and sporadically built new structures for their expanding tropical fruit wine and events business, but needed a comprehensive design and masterplan for future expansion.
PROCESS The team created a masterplan and detailed all aspects of the design, including a large brewery and winery, a non-denominational chapel for weddings held on site, an amphitheatre for weekend concerts, and a full restaurant. The project took full advantage of the warm South Florida climate, using covered walkways, and orienting the structures to take the most advantage of the sites wind and sun patterns. Research and proposals included tools and processes to implement zero-waste farming, worm composting, and inexpensive construction techniques to help develop the owners agenda within their budget.

El Tiempo: 2 de Marzo de 2008 - “Golpe al Corazón de las FARC”
On March 2, 2008, the Colombian government controversially succeeded to finally kill Raul Reyes, one of the most notorious members of the FARC or Fuerzas Armadas Revolucionadas de Colombia by invading and bombing Ecuadorian territory that bordered Colombia on the Amazon. More shocking was the fact that the disfigured, blood-stained image of the cadaver was printed on every front page and website so as to publicly claim victory with bloody hands. This piece abstracts the blood on Raul Reyes’s famous death portrait, and elevates it to the glorious, trophy status its spill represented for the population. The gold-colored shiny shapes represent the symbolic value of the shed blood, but simultaneously allow for the spectators to see their reflection in the image of Raul Reyes’s glorified blood. With time, brass loses its shiny bright
Mapping the Biological Process of Falling In Love Applied Mapping Class Professor W. Elysse Newman
This installation was a full-scale 3-dimensional abstraction map of the biological process of falling in love. The 3 stages, lust, attraction and attachment, as well as the 7 hormones related to this process, were translated into different types of red yarn, creating a code of line weights and textures, and inviting the spectators to get close and interact with the piece. The subtle difference in material creates an intimate relationship between the viewer and the piece, for in order for the viewer to fully experience the map, they must come close and observe. Additionally, the room was wrapped by a mirror ribbon at eye level, which immerses the viewer physically into the piece. Each person becomes a vital player in the process, contributing to the general pool of hormones, emotions and reactions in which two people create an enormously strong connection and ultimately fall in love.
thank you.
