CASE ANALYSIS:

MUSASHINO ART UNIVERSITY LIBRARY The Musashino Art University Museum and Library uses its form, materiality and spatial perspectives to creates a unique atmosphere for guests and students. The geometry of the plan combined with the large number of paths and view points gives the viewer a sensation that the space is infinite. This is compounded by the fact that the faรงade and walls are comprised entirely by bookshelves. With these three components working together the library attempts to convince guests that the library is an infinite space that one can wander through and explore.

INSIDE OUT:

DESIGNING A BUILDING FOR SYRACUSE ARCHIVE SPACE The goal of this project is to design a new building on Hannover square in Downtown Syracuse, proceeding first ‘from the outside in’ and then ‘from the inside out’. The new building will house the ‘Archive of the City of Syracuse’, a fictitious institution dedicated to documenting the continuing narratives of this city’s urban and architectural histories.
