Welcome

Theconcept for this The Educator Wellness Plan Book and Journal was birthed in a restaurant discussion based on the enthusiasm and passion Tina and Jasmine share for paper planners. Add in our desire to provide you with more than fifty-five strategies for your weekly wellness walk, and the wellness and paper planner merger was off and running!

When we presented the idea of a plan book and journal to complement our Wellness Solutions for Educators™ work to the Solution Tree publishing team, they immediately stepped up to help us accelerate out production timeline. As authors, we have produced more than thirty-five books with Solution Tree and stand in deep appreciation for their deep respect and care for our work. Thus, our deepest thanks go to Douglas Rife, Sarah PayneMills, Todd Brakke, and Kendra Slayton! Special thanks to Jeff Jones as well, whose belief in supporting our work as authors is only surpassed by his incredibly supportive actions.

A book like this requires what seems like an unending amount of time, drafts, rewrites, and more. If it reads and presents its space well, it is only because of the lead editor and her editorial team. Special, special thanks to Sarah Foster, who cares about this topic as much as we do, and who gave so much of her own time and wisdom to make the book fluid and complete for you. Thanks to Laurel, Rian, Jessi, Madonna, Charlotte, Hilary, Elijah, Amy, Sarah, and Anne Marie from the gifted Solution Tree editorial team!

We would also like to thank our reviewers extraordinaire: Brandon Jones, Janel Keating, Erin Lehman, Mark Onuschek, Dan Phelps, and Adrienne Turner. They gave us special insight and wisdom on how this book can be used, the value of its weekly invitations and tools for the reader, and how we could make it stronger in both form and substance.

Finally, we want to thank you for taking the time to choose this plan book, read and write your way through it, and for giving yourself the gift of wellness through your personal self-care and self-compassion. It is true. Our profession has its challenging moments and exhausting days. It also has the incredible opportunity to impact the lives of so many. To overcome that exhaustion and experience, the joy of that impact requires an intentional examination and a positive daily response to your health and well-being.

May this book, with its four seasons (dimensions) of wellness and its twelve months (routines) for improvement, help you live your best life every week as you plan for learning while simultaneously embracing new strategies for your wellness and well-being each day!
