(IAS), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), the EHS Department of the Ports, Customs and Free Zone authority of Dubai, and other technical committees.

Deepa is a trained expert in conformity assessment and product evaluations. She was the technical lead in setting up ICC’s green product evaluation program and involved in developing ICC’s Building Department Accreditationprogram Deepaisaninternationallyrecognizedassessorfor accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories, inspection agencies andcertifyingbodies.
Deepa is Past President of ASHRAE South India Chapter and Past National Environment Chair of Young Indians arm of the Confederation of Indian Industry(CII).

Maithreyi Lakshmi Ratan lives in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu. Her journey started in Bangalore where she finished her 12th and left for the US for further education She has multiple degrees in Computer Science, Cognitive Psychology and Business Management Her area of research started with AI and soon led her to work in a top IT company wearing various hats. Her love for solving technical problems ensured that she got many patents in her name. She founded and worked with several organizations that has women, children, culture and the environment as their focus Her life as an organic farmer started 14 years ago when she moved back to India. She currently lives with her two children Sattva and Muktha and her architect husband Ajay Nityananda on a farm in Tiruvannamalai where they grow their food, green the land and live a conscious, simple life apart from working in the villages driving the activities of their foundation - The Vilvam Foundation.

As part of the work around creating livelihoods, she helps run two self-sustaining, profitable rural enterprises: Wild Ideas and Work.Flow. These efforts help people in this district find meaningful work, become financially independent and live a life of dignity.
Meenakshi Ramesh is the Executive Director at United Way of Chennai, a not-for-profit and CSR implementation partner for corporates, in the areas of education, livelihoods and environment. She is also co-founder of Citizen Matters, an online magazine and knowledge platform for raising awareness on urban civic issues.

Meenakshi is an alumna of M S University Baroda and Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. She worked at Kotak Mahindra Finance and CRISIL, before accepting a role, in 2001, at Pratham, which is one of India’s largest NGOs, and works to ensure every children is in school and learning. She continues to work and volunteer with NGOs, including serving on the Board of four.
Meenakshi and her husband Ramesh enjoy traveling with their children Siddharth and Shivani. They also like to meet and support social entrepreneurs working for varied causes. She’s also an avid quizzer, wannabe musician and linguaphile.
