Shekar also held finance and audit positions at promine organizations like ExxonMobil and KPMG in India. With a strong focus on FMCG mergers and acquisitions (M&A), Shekar has led or been involved over 11 acquisitions and 4 divestments across North America, Europe, and India. ANOVA operates across various sectors and has completed notab transactions, including the divestment of Novascotia Boutique Homes to OYO Rooms, t divestment of Helicord Transmissions to Megadyne Group, fundraising for Bellatrix Aerospace, and due diligence for endorsements by Shri. M.S.Dhoni (MSD) in Shaka Harry and Rigi. Beyond his corporate endeavors, Shekar is an active angel investor with investments in over 30 startups. He serves as a non-executive director in mid-sized companies in India and abroad. Additionally, he has invested in early-stage VC funds and institutional angel investment platforms. Recently, Shekar launched the Peaceful Progress Fund, a SEBI registered angel VC fund that has already invested in 11 startups and continues to seek further investment opportunities. Shekar holds qualifications as a Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant, and Company Secretary.
