THE PLATFORM The fighting instinct of a human is vivid. This is expressed in the way we are managing the Volatility-Uncertainty-Complexityand-Ambiguity (VUCA) world. Organizations that are innovative, frugal, and proactive in planning and are rigorous in implementing, can sustain and progress in these challenging times. You are a B-School grad. Are you prepared to meet corporate demands? Are your business-ready? and Are you ready handle the tough prevailing situations that may arise? The key theme of the convention is understanding how a student can be business-ready. The topics and sessions are relevant to management students, enabling them to work on their core competency, speed up learning abilities, connect the dots in social conditions, improve the strengths and work on weaknesses. Four inspiring topics will be covered during the convention along with a keynote session.
KEYNOTE: The keynote address by the Chief Guest will focus on “Managing the Business in Turbulent times- Steps to Sustain and Plans to Succeed” The guest will share the lessons learnt in managing the turbulent times in his business. The leader will address the strategy adopted, actions implemented, challenges overcome, maneuvering the cash flow, impact on earnings, and the management of monies. The leader will share the keys to succeed with people and how to rally the team for high motivational levels, sustenance of positive mindset and energy levels. Key takeaways from the session: “Worrying is optional; planning is must; and implementation paramount.”
SPECIAL SESSION I : Building careers in the rapidly expanding growth tech space Tech platforms such as artificial neural networks, machine learning and artificial intelligence complement human intelligence. Massive quantum of information needs to be harnessed, for which building careers in the growth tech space is essential. The speaker will share insight on the programs that support and deliver career outcomes, which will be future ready for one’s leap forward.
SPECIAL SESSION II : Fuel your Skillsets Full Stack in by AAI, ML and IOT A top priority for corporates is adopting analytics, AI, ML, and IOT. Thus, students need to re-skill in the post-COVID era to broader their understanding of a company’s mindset and be ready to meet the requirements. This session will help students to learn more about data, how to be a solution provider, and be ready beyond future shocks.
SPECIAL SESSION III: Appreciation of life Things that were taken for granted made us cautious of our lives. This session will help one to appreciate the concept of being “Present” and working on the grassroots of personal interaction, hobby, culture, art and its impact on the well-being of a person. This session will delve upon how an individual should be compassionate and helpful. It will also bring about a realization on the importance of family life and bring forth a sense of happiness by focusing on need and not on want.
SPECIAL SESSION IV: Financial Preparedness for tough times Businesses work towards maximizing monies by improving efficiency. This session will help to understand the importance of intelligent saving, structuring an insurance policy, maximizing one’s savings through prudent investments and awareness of asset class. Importance of frugality and being cautious of wants in life.

PAPER PRESENTATION COMPETITION Each competing team comprising two students is invited to register by sending mail to mma@mmachennai.org providing the name, mail id, mobile number, course and college details. Registered participants should submit E-copy of the Synopsis on the theme of the Convention ‘Future–Proof: Your Career for Success’, not exceeding 1000 words by Monday, 1st November 2021. Registered participants will be invited to make a brief presentation on the theme, not exceeding 8 minutes during the preliminary round of the competition scheduled to be held online from 9.30 am on Tuesday, 9th November 2021. The short-listed teams selected for the final round will be invited to make a detailed presentation online on the same theme for a maximum of 15 minutes in the presence of a distinguished panel of jury from 9.30 am on Friday, 12th November 2021. Detailed guidelines will be shared with registered participants prior to the competition.
BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION Each competing team comprising two students is invited to register by sending mail to mma@mmachennai.org providing the name, mail id, mobile number, course and college details. Registered participants should submit E-copy of the write-up on a Commercially Viable Business Idea on any industry/service of their choice not exceeding 1000 words by Monday, 1st November 2021. Registered participants will be invited to make a brief presentation on the business idea, not exceeding 8 minutes during the preliminary round of the competition scheduled to be held online from 9.30 am on Wednesday, 10th November 2021. The short-listed teams selected for the final round will be invited to make a presentation online on the same business idea in greater detail for a maximum of 15 minutes in the presence of a distinguished panel of jury from 9.30 am on Saturday, 13th November 2021. Detailed guidelines will be shared with registered participants prior to the competition.
THE BIG DEBATE A Debate is always provocative. A heated debate is all the more so. The objective of the debate is to enable students to showcase their communication and logical reasoning skills. The ABC of Communication, Accuracy, Brevity, Clarity will all be exhibited before a strong audience. Each competing team comprising two students is invited to register by sending mail to mma@mmachennai.org providing the name, mail id, mobile number, course and college details by Monday, 1st November 2021. A team of two from each institute will speak, one FOR and one AGAINST the proposition. Any number of teams can be nominated from an institution. Teams will be called for online debate for 10 minutes on the topic “Working From Home Vs Work from Office” on Monday, 8 November 2021. The short-listed teams selected for the final round will be invited to debate online on the topic “Future of Work” in the presence of a distinguished panel of jury from 9.30 am on Thursday, 11th November 2021. For the final round, a maximum 15 minutes will be allowed followed by interaction with jury members. Detailed guidelines will be shared with registered participants prior to the competition.
THINK TANK: THE MASTER BRAIN Management Quiz Competition The Quiz Competition tests the knowledge of Management Students on the world of Management and Businesses around us. This is an individual event (not a team event) and the last date for registration is Monday, 1st November 2021. Rather than testing only memory, the format of the event will force the contestants to apply their whole body of acquired expertise and knowledge on the presented questions forcing them to make the connection and then come up with the answers. Preliminary round of the Quiz will be held online between the window of time 11.00 am and 12.30 pm on Saturday, 6th November 2021. Final of the quiz would be held on Sunday, 7th November 2021. Detailed guidelines will be shared with registered participants prior to the competition.
