Mr. Harsh Pati Singhania, 59, MBA from University of Massachusetts and an alumni of Harvard Business School, USA belongs to one of India’s largest industrial groups - JK Organisation. Group’s businesses include Paper & Boards, Cement, Automobile Tyres, Engineering products (V-

Belts, Oil Seals etc.), Hybrid Seeds, Dairy & Food products, Defence, Aerospace & Security, Textiles and operations in Clinical Research, Insurance Brokerage, Health Care, Education, etc with a turnover of around USD 4.5 billion. Mr Singhania is responsible for the Paper, Dairy & Defence businesses. Mr Singhania is currently a Member of Executive Board of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Paris which is the apex body for all Chambers of Commerce globally. Dr.

J

Radhakrishnan

is

the

Principal

Secretary

of

the

Revenue

Administration,

Disaster

Management and Mitigation Department for Tamil Nadu. Known for his relief work during the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, he gained national and international recognition again

for

the

measures

taken

to

control

the

pandemic.

A

1992-cadre

IAS

officer,

Dr Radhakrishnan has been at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19. In May 2020, the Tamil Nadu government appointed Dr Radhakrishnan as Special Nodal Officer for the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC). He helped tackle Chennai’s rising cases with a slew of measures. Moreover, as Tamil Nadu witnessed a delayed peak compared to the rest of the country, Dr Radhakrishnan stepped up the state’s testing, tracing and quarantining drive, effectively curtailing the rising spread of Covid in the state. Widely

lauded

for

his

relief

and

rehabilitation

efforts

even

before

the

pandemic,

Dr

Radhakrishnan is the face of disaster management in the state. He went onto serve as Assistant Country Director, Disaster Management for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).


Prof. Dr. K Narayanasamy MMA Award for Managerial Excellence

Prof. Dr K Narayanasamy is the Director of Government Corona Hospital (GCH), Chennai. He was instrumental in preparing Covid ward at the Rajiv Gandhi Government GH. From March 2020 onwards, he led teams in the establishment of care centers, screening centers, and health centers for Covid-19 patients. He is renowned for working tirelessly in helping Covid patients and authorities. Under his leadership, the recovery rate of Covid patients at GCH stood at 97.5% (against a cumulative admission of 20,289 patients). He introduced new schemes at GCH, including the launch of a post-covid care clinic and post-rehabilitation guide. His Covid relief work won him 19 awards (4 international, 10 national, and 5 state).
