LEAPFROGGING TO THE FUTURE SATURDAY, 10 FEBRUARY 2024 9:30 AM TO 5:00 PM HOTEL TAJ COROMANDEL, CHENNAI

Context and Objectives of the Convention India is the fastest growing economy of the world today. With over 650 million internet users and low cost data, India is one of the largest and fastest growing digital economy. We have several unique endowments – world’s largest young workforce, leadership position across multiple sector supply chains (e.g. IT, automotive), increasing purchasing power and digital penetration, amongst others. These endowments, coupled with changing world order provides us a unique opportunity to step up and take a global leadership role as we move towards a century of Independence. As we think about our next 25 years and leapfrogging into the future, we need to ensure that our growth is broad-based, inclusive, and sustainable. To closely understand how India can leapfrog in to the future and to evaluate the different ways you can make your business on track, we invite you to a one-of-a-kind event at MMA, Chennai on 10th February 2024. Over the course of four exceptional special sessions and engaging discussion with several preeminent industry experts and leaders,we assure you a day filled with inspiration and thought provoking insights at the Convention on “India @ 2047: Leapfrogging to the future”. The topics will be covered through a mix of lively speeches, intense discussion and interactive Q & A sessions.

Inaugural Session / Valedictory Session Special session 1: Future of Industry – Capturing the $1Tn opportunity in shifting Global Supply Chains The global supply chains continue to shift in the post-pandemic world. Recent geo-political events have further accentuated the paradigm shift where resilience and risk management become as important as efficiency. This presents a unique opportunity for India to become the “factory of the world” and capture the ~1Tn opportunity. We are already the leaders in sectors like IT, automotive, and pharmaceuticals. We also have deep expertise in multiple other sectors like chemicals, electronics, and software. Join us as the speakers discuss how India can defend its leadership in sectors it is strong in, capture leadership position in new sectors, learn from the pitfalls of other countries, while ensuring that it can lead by example on sustainability and climate change.

Special Session 2: New Technology Frontiers – How India can become the Innovation Engine for the World India has now long been recognized as the IT heart of the world. Recently it has cultivated a burgeoning SaaS (Software as a Service) economy which has begun to compliment the tech sector. With GenAI and post GPT world – the traditional IT economy is going to undergo fundamental disruptions. This is both a unique opportunity, as well as an urgent call to action for India to tap into its tech and digital endowments and pivot towards becoming the global innovation hub. Join us as our speakers discuss why it is important for India to pivot towards Innovation right now, and what will it take for us to achieve that – across Innovation eco-system for SMEs, sector specific innovation clusters, fostering a culture that rewards innovation, research and entrepreneurship, encouraging collaboration, and the role government and enterprises need to play to accelerate this transformation. Special Session 3: Developing the World’s Leading Talent Engine India will become home to a fifth of the global workforce. As the developed economies age, India’s relatively young population could be enabled to meet the shifting global demands for products and services. The battle for unleashing the full potential of India’s workforce is a battle on two fronts – the defence play where we ensure future proof skilling and education of the workforce to ensure they can compete in a world with increasing automation and GenAI taking away many of traditional job archetypes hosted out of India; and the offence play sdsd

where we tap into India’s digital knowledge to lead the world in new-age skills and talent skilled for the digital economy of the future. Join our speakers as we discuss how do we fight this battle on two fronts – ensuring we can create an eco-system across formal (e.g. schools, universities etc.,) and informal channels (e.g. social media, online channels) to create a self-sustaining talent factory. Valedictory Session: Keynote Address - Leadership Lessons from the Frontline As we look around, it is easy to be over-whelmed with the amount of changes that surround us across topics. In this rapidly evolving digital world, it can become unsettling as a leader to keep up with the latest on all fronts. Join our speakers as we explore the core tenets of leadership and go back to basics to navigate the new. In this session we discuss how do we fall back on time-tested pillars of leadership (e.g. vision, integrity, adaptability, effective communication, empathy, accountability, courage, resilience, etc.) and implement these in the new paradigm of shifting supply chains, new technology frontiers, evolving talent economy and a rapidly changing world.
