Narrative presents the story world in a structured system

Female gender & gaze -the film puts her in a position of power as the story teller & female resistance to patriarchal language.

Topic: Time Travel Narratives

Travelling trough time is one of the most popular ways that film experiments with narrative.

SAROJ SATYANARAYAN FACILITATOR

Saroj Satyanarayan, a History Hons graduate from Delhi University with a post-graduation in Mass Communication, has a rich background in advertising, having worked at J Walter Thompson in Chennai. As an Audio-visual Head, she scripted and co-produced TV commercials, short films, and documentariesforbrandslikeNestle,Horlicks,Ponds,Kodak,ITC, andUNICEF.ShethenassistedrenownedfilmmakerZaffarHaiof Haimark Films in Mumbai on international TV commercials and documentaries.

Asanindependentfilmmaker,herdocu-feature'NaukaCaritramu/BoatSong'wonthe NationalAwardforBestDirectorin1997.Herworksincludethedocumentary'TaleofTwo Cities: Mumbai & Bombay' and the Hindi play 'Dastan Kehte Kehte' for the National School of Drama. Saroj has participated in the NFDC-Binger Lab's Screenwriters WorkshopandholdsacertificationinAncientEgyptianArt&ArchaeologyfromHarvard University. She conducts film appreciation workshops and recently engaged in documentaryfilmmakingsessionsatIIMBangalore.
