4 Theapplicationformsdulyfilledalongwithawriteupnotexceeding500wordson“WhyamIthe BestManager?”shouldbeuploadedonorbeforeMonday,4September2023.Thewriteupshould bringouttheachievementsandparticipationofstudentinvarioussocial,cultural,sportsevents, contest,etc.highlightingtheirleadershipandmanagerialskills.

5 Theshortlisted/selectedstudents willbecalledtoChennaiforaPre-finalselectionprocess atMMA onTuesday,03October2023.Accommodationwillbeprovidedforoutstationcandidates. Shortlistedstudents areeligibletoattendthe22ndMMAAllIndiaManagementStudents’ Convention2023asspecialinvitees.

6 Pre-final selection which is designed to assess the participant’s Analytical, Decision Making and Innovation Skills, includes:

Behavioral Assessment (psychometric)

Group Discussion Management Games, Simulations etc. to measure the various managerial skills of the Pre Finalist

7. TEN students who are short-listed in Pre-final stage will participate in the Finals at the MMA Convention The Finals will be conducted on stage in front of the audience in two rounds The First round on stage will witness elimination of 5 students leaving the other five in the fray for a Panel Interview on stage, which would include rapid fire round resulting in the selection and crowning of the winnerastheMMA“Chanakya-TheMastermind”fortheyear2023.

8 This will be the most attended/watched event of the Convention and will be Webcast Live across Colleges,UniversitiesandManagementSchoolsinthecountryandalsoliveonyoutubeandfacebook.

9. The winner of the MMA “Chanakya -The Mastermind” 2023 would win a Cash Award of Rs. One Lakh!

PAPER PRESENTATION COMPETITION

Each competing team must submit an e-copy of the written presentation on the theme

'Innovate to a Responsible Tomorrow’ , as per following instructions:

Each competing team must comprise 2 student members

Written presentation should not exceed 1500 words

The cover of the paper must clearly specify the following:

1. Title of the paper

2. Names of the team members

3 Year of study

4. Name of the Institute & address

5. Personal email ID of both participants

6 Contact numbers of both participants

The format and sequence of written presentation is as follows:

1 Introduction

2. Your Views on the topic with examples, case studies, research findings and illustrations as necessary

3. Conclusion

4. A bibliography (references) must be attached with the paper wherever applicable

E-copy of the paper must be mailed to mma@mmachennai.org by Monday, 11 September 2023

On submission of written presentation by the due date, Teams will be invited to make an oral presentation at the MMA Management Center,Chennai, on Friday, 29 September 2023 before a panel of Judges.

Note: The winning team will be selected based on overall performance in written and oral presentation

BUSINESS PLAN COMPETITION

Each competing team must submit an e-copy of the proposal on a commercially viable business idea on any industry/service of their choice as per following instructions:

Each competing team must comprise 2 student members

Business proposal should not exceed 1500 words

The cover of the paper must clearly specify the following:

1. Title of the paper

2 Names of the team members

3. Year of study

4. Name of the Institute & address

5. Personal email ID of both participants

6. Contact numbers of both participants

The format and sequence of Business proposal is as follows:

1. Executive Summary not exceeding 100 words

2 Introduction, Mission

3 Business Structure, Strategy and Processes including product potential, technology availability, marketing strategy etc.

4 Financial viability& ROI

5 E-copy of the business plan must be mailed to mma@mmachennai.org by Monday, 11 September 2023.

Onsubmission of written presentation by the due date,Teams will be invited tomake an oral presentation of the Business Idea at the MMA Management Center,Chennai, on Thursday, 28 September 2023. The ideas presented will be evaluatedby venture capitalists and jury members.

THE BIG DEBATE

A Debate is always provocative. A heated debate is all the more so. The objective of the debate is to enable students to showcase their communication and logical reasoning skills. The ABC of Communication, Accuracy, Brevity, Clarity will all be exhibited before the audience

Teams will becalled for a debate on the topic “Artificial Intelligence: Will it replace human labour or enhance productivity in the workplace?” at MMA Management Center, Chennai on Saturday, 23 September 2023.

A team comprising of 2 students from each institute with one speaking For and one Against the Proposition may be nominated Any number of teams can be nominated from the same B School.

THINK TANK: THE MASTER BRAIN Management Quiz Competition

A team comprises of two students from the same B School. Any number of teams can be nominated from the same B School.

The eligible teams will participate in the Preliminary Round of Quiz scheduled on Friday, 22 September 2023. The Preliminary Round will be in the form of written quiz to be answered as a team on the answer template provided. The results of the Preliminary Round will be announced on the same day and the Top 6 Teams will be selected for the On-Stage Grand Finals to be held on the same day at MMA Management Center, Chennai.

The Grand Finals will consist of different rounds of quizzing and the rules of the same will be announced prior to the competition.
