Anil Kumar has a few decades of varied experience as a researcher, code developer, consulting engineer, activist, angel investor, and entrepreneur. He is the founder and CEO of Jodi365.com, a bespoke matchmaking app and service for elite singles and is slated to do a cameo as himself in an upcoming Hollywood romcom (Coco & Nut).
Dr. Kumar was previously the first lead associate of Hyde Park Angels, currently one of the largest angel investment networks in the midwestern US. Prior to HPA, he spent seven years at a boutique consulting firm in Seattle, providing specialized engineering and consulting services to clients in the marine industry.
Dr. Kumar is a graduate and Institute Blue of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He holds a Master's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Iowa and a PhD in computational hydrodynamics from the University of Michigan. He also earned an MBA from the Chicago Booth School of Business, where he was one of two graduating students to receive the Dean's Award of Distinction.
A naturalized US citizen, he lives in Chennai and tweets @aktxt on life, learning, entrepreneurship and business, relationships, fitness, and dogs.
