Primary purpose of the Seminar is to strengthen the conceptual and knowledge base of the MSMEs. It will enable them to be healthier and happy on a sustained basis both through Profits and Growth.
Healthy and happy MSMEs would make the world a happier place.
The Seminar would include all – Micro Medium and Small SMEs.
The Book provides deep insight into a variety of issues and challenges for entrepreneurs to manage and grow their businesses well. Rooted in India which has more than 50 million MSMEs, the book provides a global perspective.
With 200 million plus MSMEs in the world, the healthier the MSMEs, the happier would be the Globe. Rich experience of the authors in academics and entrepreneurship, the book enlightens the readers with the best of both world. The book will also help would-be students desirous of becoming entrepreneurs and creating employment.

Sharad Sarin
Dr. Sharad Sarin (78 years), a Senior Faculty at XLRI, is BE [Electrical], MBA [IIM Ahmedabad 1972] and Ph D [Marketing]. He joined XLRI in 1976, retired in 2016. He has been a Visiting Faculty to the IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Ranchi, IIM Kashipur, IIM Sirmaur, University of Rhode Island, Kingston [USA], Colorado University at Boulder [USA], Helsinki School of Economics [Finland]. SP Jain Global, Sydney.
Over the last 45 years, he has been involved in several consultancy assignments in Marketing and Strategic Management. Prof Sarin also has been conducting training programs for senior and middle level business executives. In November 1995, he was named amongst the top five teachers of business management in India by Business Standard, a leading business daily newspaper in India. Prof Sarin is widely known as the originator of the novel concept of ‘Marketing Fair.’ His articles have been published in many National and International Journals. He has published three books:
i.‘Strategic Brand Management for B2B Markets’ (1st ed. 2010, 2nd ed. 2016)
ii. ‘Business Marketing: Concepts and Cases’ (1st ed. 2013, 2nd ed. 2023)
iii.‘In Search of An Ideal MSME: A Holistic Management Approach’ (2023)
He was honored by 'Lifetime Achievement Award’ by Higher Education Forum, Mumbai, on September 9, 2017 as part of Teachers Day Celebrations and IIM Indore on 5th June 2022 for his contribution to Education
G M Kapur
G.M.Kapur is a long-time resident of Kolkata. After his schooling here, he completed his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the IIT-BHU in 1971 and returned to do his Post Graduation in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIMC) which he completed in 1973. He is a Member of the Institution of Engineers as well as a Chartered Engineer since 1991. He started his career in banking and then was involved in a few start-ups. He is currently an independent management consultant and Advisor, Trade and Commerce to the Royal Norwegian Consulate Kolkata He is a member of the National Governing Council and State Convener of The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). He has been recently conferred the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus Award by IIM Calcutta.

S Ravi is the Director of Buildcraft Interior Pvt Ltd. He holds a Diploma in Business Management from XLRI Jamshedpur and is a Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant by qualification. He laid the foundation for Buildcraft Interior Pvt Ltd and initiated Gypboard operations in 1988 . By 1993, his strategic acumen propelled him to become one of the largest Gypboard in the industry and Contractors of Drywall Partition & Ceilings. Under his leadership, Buildcraft extended to include reputable international brands such as Herman Miller, Hunter Douglas, Milliken, Saint Gobain Gyproc, USG Knauf, Promat and Euroclean. Ravi’s competence extends beyond servicing clients to organically growing and building a robust institutional engine. He takes pride in growing Buildcraft both in volume and in the number of services and products it offers.
