CHENNAI CSR CONCLAVE 2023 Ten Years of CSR MMA MANAGEMENT CENTER 240 PATHARI ROAD, OFF ANNA SALAI, CHENNAI - 06 Saturday, 09:30 am - 4:30 pm AUG 19 2 0 2 3 SUPPORTED BY

Objective

Following the implementation of the CSR Amendment Rules 2021 on 22 01 2021, mandating compulsory CSR spending, there has been a significant increase in CSR initiatives. It is encouraging to note that most corporates are actively implementing CSR projects rather than opting for contributions to funds specified in Schedule VII

The primary objective of this conclave is to raise awareness among all stakeholders in the CSR environment about the fundamental intent and nuances of the CSR Legislation passed by the government. We aim to explore opportunities for Social Entrepreneurs to leverage CSR for advancing their businesses, thereby promoting compliance with the law and encouraging corporates to implement projects that align with their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.

Furthermore, the conclave will provide insights into accounting practices for nonprofit organizations and showcase relevant case studies on successful CSR implementations By doing so, we hope to foster a conducive environment and build robust platforms for effective CSR execution

Key Focus of the Discussion

CSR Legislation: A comprehensive understanding of Section 135 of the Companies Act 2013, CSR Rules, and Schedule VII, along with an overview of the current CSR scenario and important portals related to CSR Data and Implementation.

Case Studies: Real-life examples of impactful CSR initiatives that have made a positive difference in communities, offering valuable insights and inspiration

Best Accounting Practices for Non-Profits: Exploring sound financial management practices for non-profit organizations, ensuring transparency and accountability in CSR projects.

For Whom

This conclave is designed for Corporates, CSR Implementing Agencies (IAs), Civil Society Organizations, Social Entrepreneurs, and Academia. We believe that bringing together these diverse stakeholders will facilitate a comprehensive and collaborative discussion on CSR implementation

Format

The conclave will feature a dynamic program consisting of engaging speeches, thought-provoking panel discussions, and interactive Q&A sessions By embracing a diverse range of formats, we aim to foster meaningful conversations and encourage active participation from all delegates.
