This book is the result of Radha’s desire to share with more people the story of a journey, hers and her son ’ s – a journey that tested their physical and emotional strength to their very limits. Her story is one of hope, courage and determination and she hopes it will help others who are fighting their own hard battles.

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Radha lives in Dubai with her family, which includes her grandchild Kaveer and Ladoo, her dog. Her kindness and helpful nature make her a beloved member of her community.

Besides writing, Radha enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, golf, playing mahjong and exploring new cuisines. She is a firm believer in the power of positivity and lives her life with an attitude of gratitude and appreciation for every moment.

Rugmani Prabhakar transitioned from being a journalist to a teacher of meditation after she realised that neither in school nor college are people taught to manage their mind and emotion. This prompted her to establish The Art of Living in the Gulf and middle East, teaching meditation and spearheading various humanitarian initiatives.

Returning to India in 2011, she led national rural development efforts, training rural communities for effective collaboration with funding bodies. As Head of Sustainable Development for The Art of Living, she authored an influential India Impact Report.

The pandemic prompted her to focus on writing. She now facilities platforms for writers and poets, and her works have been published in digital media and anthologies. Moreover, she assumes the mantle of moderation at literary and poetic gatherings, concurrently serving as co-curator for The Glass House Festival of Poetry 2024. Her career is further punctuated by a series of accolades, culminating in the prestigious Karnataka Women Achievers Award in 2023.
