Justice (Retd) V Ramasubramanian, born on June 30, 1958, is a distinguished legal luminary with a rich and diverse career trajectory. Graduating in Chemistry from Ramakrishna Mission, Vivekananda College, Chennai, he later pursued Law at Madras Law College, subsequently being enrolled as a member of the Bar on February 16, 1983. With over 23 years of practice in the High Court of Madras, including a notable tenure in the office of Senior Advocates K. Sarvabhauman and T.R. Mani, his expertise in legal matters is profound. Appointed as an Additional Judge of the Madras High Court on July 31, 2006, and later as a permanent Judge on November 9, 2009, he has showcased unwavering dedication to justice. Following a transfer to the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in 2016, he continued to uphold legal integrity. Notably, after the bifurcation leading to the creation of a separate High Court for the State of Andhra Pradesh, he was retained as a Judge of the High Court of Telangana at Hyderabad starting from January 1, 2019. His remarkable journey ascended further when he assumed the esteemed position of Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court on June 22, 2019.
