AMBI PARAMESWARAN M G Parameswaran, or Ambi as he is known is a Brand Strategist and Founder Brand-Building.com. In a career spanning three+ decades Ambi has handled assignments in marketing, sales and advertising with companies like Rediffusion DY&R, Boots Company and UDI Yellow Pages before dropping anchor at Ulka Advertising over two decades ago. He has helped build numerous brands including Digene, Brufen, Santoor Soap, Sundrop Cooking Oil, TCS, ICICI Bank, Wipro, Indica Cars, Zee TV among others. Ambi now has seven books to his credit in June 2016 saw the launch of his book "Nawabs Nudes Noodles - India Through 50 Years of Advertising", published by Pan Macmillan. Ambi is currently serving as the President of Advertising Agencies Association of India [2014-16]; he was President of Ad Club Bombay [2003–05]. He was inducted into the Board of Governors of IIMC in 2007 and he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT Madras in April 2009.He successfully completed his PhD from Mumbai University in 2012 and AMP from HBS in 2014. Ambi is a Member of MMA Managing Committee.
NANDINI DIAS Nandini Dias is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Lodestar UM and she leads one of most talented and capable teams in the country. She is also part of the global FCB Media board. Nandini has the distinction of having launched over 400 brands in media and has managed media investments for over 175 clients like Samsung, Johnson and Johnson, Cadburys, Tata, Mahindra, Birla, Amul. She has set up various skilled practices like Brand Experiences, Content, Celebrity management etc. In addition,
she
has
been
part
of
the
team
identified
to
set
up
the
creative
agency
FCB
Interface
Communications. Known for her strategic acumen she has developed several research based tools for better media investments. Nandini has probably won the maximum number of media awards in the country. She has lead Lodestar UM to the Media Agency of the Year title several times in the biggest Indian award shows like Goafest and AAAI. She has won the Media Planner of the year award in her early years, and has been recognised at Cannes and Spikes on more than one occasion, recognized and awarded by World Women Leadership Congress. This year, 2016, she was awarded Agency CEO of the year by Media Ace awards. She is a long serving jury member at the Emvies, Effies, Goafest, Cannes, Spikes, Festival of media, Press Club of India, and many more. Nandini also ranks consistently among “Most influential media people”,” Woman Achievers” in all the prestigious industry rankings. In the last Economic Times Brand Equity Survey, she was the highest ranked woman in Advertising & Media in the country. Her position among the industry's top women leaders has seen her being invited as a speaker on several industry platforms and in business schools in India and overseas. Besides being passionate about the media business Nandini is passionate about sports. She has won a number of awards in the sport of badminton. A mother of two sons Nandini is a strong advocate of worklife balance.
VINAY KAMATH VINAY KAMATH is Sr Associate Editor with The Hindu BusinessLine based in Chennai. Prior to joining BusinessLine in 1998, he did a short stint in television with TV18, where he was the chief of news bureau, Chennai. He has earlier worked with Financial Express, BusinessWorld, The Times of India and The Economic Times. He holds a diploma in journalism from the Times School of Journalism and is a recipient of the Chevening Fellowship, administered by the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office, to study at the University of Westminster, London, 1995. He's the author of the best-selling business book Titan: Inside India's Most Successful Consumer Brand.
