Background
The annual MMA Women Managers' Convention is a celebration of the spirit of women and the many diverse roles women play Every year, the theme of the convention has revolved around the evolving role and needs of today's women. This event creates a platform for women across different walks of life to come together, share their thoughts, opinions, insights and experiences. What binds these women is the urge to excel in their respective fields, be it as business leaders, entrepreneurs, thinkers, artists or policymakers The focus of the convention is to inspire and guide women to grow in every area of their life
As a prelude to Women Managers' Convention, a competition is conducted every year where women managers are invited to present papers on the theme of the convention. The papers and presentations are ajudged by a panel of eminent jury; and the winner is awarded the “Outstanding Woman Manager of the Year” award
The Platform
Research reveals that women are more ambitious than ever before There have been some hard-fought gains at the top: women’s representation in the C-suite is at an all-time high, yet progress lags in the middle of the pipeline, signalling that true parity remains out of reach
This year, MMA is celebrating the International Women’s Day with a conference filled with inspiration, education, and connection, giving every woman an opportunity to Level Up! The conference will be replete with discussions and debates around what it takes for the ‘woman at work’ to be successful today and tomorrow The year’s sessions will inspire dialogues on topics that dive into the highlights and lowlights of being a woman in management, conversations that offer support and encouragement on common business struggles, and people to voice issues and ask questions
Dive into a transformative journey at the competition with the theme 'Level-Up: Unlocking Power Perspectives ' Explore the dynamic realms of understanding and interpreting power, harness the superpowers of curiosity and active listening, discover the profound impact of role models and mentors, embrace a growth mindset, and set career goals beyond the job This event aims to empower women to cultivate a fulfilling relationship with themselves, fostering personal and professional growth
Competition Perspectives
“Well begun is half-done” is an old adage that has often proved right in business and life However, not many women who have launched their careers in style seem to have reached the high office despite all their potential and talent The “What and Why” of their mid-career crisis is something that needs to be pondered upon
Perseverance and endurance to surmount the toughest of problems seem to be deeply embedded in Chromosome X which women carry in double measure If so, let us analyse the entire metrics of scenarios which force women to abandon their careers midway, to identify the best navigable path to the boardroom
Family and career weigh in equal measure in our social upbringing What do a place in the C-Suite without losing sight of the vast responsibilities and e successful women?
