Ewald is widely respected as an innovator, having introduced many ‘firsts’ that have influenced a generation and advanced the industry of chocolate and sugar arts. He has at least 15 gold medals, including World Pastry Champion. He is respected, internationally, as one of the world’s experts with chocolate. He was inducted into the Pastry Hall of Fame and was recently awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for these numerous contributions. Ewald is celebrated as a much sought-after instructor.

Michele fostered his precision in the pastry arts thru decades of education and working as an executive pastry chef, internationally (The Ritz Carlton, Michael Mina, Carpigiani Gelato University.) He taught Baking and Pastry Arts at the Notter School of Pastry Arts.) He competed on the US World Cup Gelato Team, 2016. Lisa has had the privilege of nourishing the Seattle community thru food and special events, for over 30 years as one of Seattle’s top award-winning and trusted caterers. She operates Pomegranate Bistro in Redmond, and authored Fried Chicken and Champagne, winner of the Julia Child Award for best first cookbook.
