2012 Homecoming Activities

Page 1

Hello College of Nursing Alumni! On behalf of the College of Nursing and the Alumni Council I am sending you a friendly reminder about the Homecoming Activities scheduled for October 25 – 27. On Thursday there will be an evening building dedication ceremony at the new Health and Wellness Building located across from the Dunlap Success Center on the corner of Woodward and Park Avenue, which is where College of Nursing students attended class prior to the construction of Duxbury Hall in the 1970’s. Friday we will be participating in the Homecoming Parade. The College of Nursing’s Student Leadership Council will be marching in the parade and they would like for alumni to participate and march alongside them. Please contact Marilyn McGhee at mmcghee@fsu.edu if you are interested in participating. After the parade ends we will have an alumni and faculty awards ceremony at the College of Nursing, and later in the evening an Alumni Grand Reunion Dinner (Dr. Sally P. Karioth will be the guest speaker) will be held at the University Center in Building B of Doak Campbell Stadium. Saturday, the College will participate in the FSU Alumni Association’s All College All Alumni Tailgate. The Tailgate will take place at the President’s House, and be hosted by President and Mrs. Barron. There is no cost for the tailgate, and registration is available at https://one.fsu.edu/community/dukepregame. Block tickets are still available for the Homecoming Football Game. To purchase a ticket in the College of Nursing’s block contact Mark Cameron at 850-645-9770 or via e-mail at mcameron@fsu.edu.
