Welcome to Algebra I Melinda McMillan NGA-SHS


Mission Statement The mission of the Scotland County Schools is to educate all children to their fullest potential, emphasizing human worth. We believe that all children can learn.


Classroom Expectations

Arrive on time (seated… begin warm-up) Bring materials to class daily (textbook, notebook, pencils, paper, homework) Raise your hand to speak Be considerate of others No food, drinks, candy or gum in class


Notebook Expectations

Keep an accurate notebook A three-ring binder, with loose-leaf paper and section dividers Include sections for warm-ups, class notes, homework, and returned assignments Notes should include the date, section, and the example/problem number Keep all returned work (graded or not) in your notebook


Grading Policy

Tests 50% Quizzes 25% Homework 25% Homework: You begin with a 100 every week! Every day that you do not have your assignment… subtract 25 points. Homework will be assigned MondayThursday.


Tutoring Students can receive tutoring during weekly teacher advisory hoursThursdays 3:20-4:00 Schedule tutoring 24 hours in advance!
