Red Hook is a rapidly growing residential and industrial neighborhood on of active industrial sites, residential buildings and a limited number of new commercial projects. The proposal for this city block uses timber in a innovative way, focusing on way the project can be low-cost and highly effective. The proposed wall system, Performative Poche, integrates light wood framing panels with active systems, passive systems and program, up construction.

The wood shop facilities and urban housing tower are separated to provide urban connectivity and provide privacy for the dwellers.

unit plans

As the Dudley Square neighborhood revitalizes and grows, the opportunity for new housing typologies becomes clear. Located just outside of Boston, this multi-family complex offers a high-end living solutions for young professionals and growing families, providing one, two and three bedrooms. Ground level retail engages the street and holds the street edge, while an underground parking platform transforms into a raised courtyard for residents to share. Units are lofted with views extending through the terraces providing ample light and views. The design utilizes Type V construction techniques with a concrete foundation and base level.
