Creating for creatives M

Moser assisted Saatchi & Saatchi in consolidating the firm’s business units into one floor. The goal was to design a new space that was edgy, modern and fit the Saatchi & Saatchi curious and forward-thinking brand. Existing offices were removed to contain costs and create open rooms on the perimeter for shared conference rooms and meeting areas. The open, collaborative floor plan provides ample room for pinning up and displaying creative efforts. A floating linear slot wood ceiling is strategically placed to establish hub areas for collaboration and connection. The main cafÊ is a destination space with sweeping views of the Hudson River.

Welcome to the cloud T

his proposed headquarters project is a 430,000 SF six-story development center for a provider of enterprise cloud applications. The building is laid out over six 70,000 SF floor plates which encircle an atrium housing first floor amenity spaces. The atrium is crossed with bridges at each floor staggered to create views to and from the bridge structures. The form and imagery of the building are a direct result of the client’s desire for a highly sustainable and collaborative building. The 80-foot deep bays allow for the appropriate level of programmatic layering without sacrificing daylight. Solar shading and acoustic dampening is provided through a curtain wall wrapped with an ETFE layer. The resulting exterior ‘cloud’ aesthetic reinforces the company brand and identity.

The potential expansion of three additional smaller buildings of 150,000 SF was slated to be phased over a period of 15–20 years. M Moser’s proposed scheme positions the central building as the ‘gateway’ to the campus. The central atrium, highly visible from the street, provides reception to amenity programs and connects all floors to the building. All buildings on the campus are nestled in and connected through immediately accessible courtyards, landscapes and covered paths.
