What are the benefits? Gardening is known to be good for the human body and mind. It has a positive impact on mental and emotional well-being, by relieving stress and boosting self-esteem. It also helps develop strength, endurance and flexibility, as well as improve cardiovascular and respiratory health.
Shared gardens are a place where people can gather, creating community and friendships. Where else would you be able to garden for free with everything provided for you? Make the most of this space during your time at Birley Student Living. Contacts If you have any questions, please email: bigimpact@mmu.ac.uk
If you need inspiration, visit Hulme Community Garden Centre. It’s open every day, is free to look around and has lots to explore.
