Presentation Script : This presentation will cover where my practise was at the start of the year , the significant projects that changed my practise that helped me get to where I am now and what’s next. Slide one – Collaboration with refugee council.  Very much a personal project – Wanted to work with a group of people who are directly affected by a political and or social issue.  COLABORATIVE WORKSHOPS !!  Proposed a series of workshops. COLECTIVLY DECIED - AMBITIONS !!  THE STORIES!  Own response to stories that they told me – Very simple technique use ink.  Sensitivity was a big factor I was aware of and using a simple medium like ink works well for this, more figurative approach than realistic. Slide 2- Collaboration with refugee council.  Series of workshops in the councils building and one here at the uni.  Councils building painted tree on wall and drop in clients where asked to paint flowers and leaves to for on the tree. UNITY  Girls dream – to live in a house with lots of birds. Very grounding and achievable dream. Slide 3- Ohh deer  Heavy going last project, needed a break to experiment and play. Needed to get it out of my system in order to be able to regain focus again.  Missed having a context, but still valuable to play.  Started to seriously consider textiles. Slide 4- Sherlock illustration  Going back to where I left off last year, lino and screen printing.  Story telling and composition improved quickly.  Got into the stories and enjoyed it more than creating the cushions. Much stronger  Turn in direction Slide 5- wuthering heights and twelve brother’s illustrations.  Two of the strongest piece this year.  Two different methods , traditional and digital.  Problems with detail . traditional not clear, digital much clearer.  Adapting for working for fast turnarounds. Slide 6 Break down of building up the layers digitally , excaltly the same as screen printing but quicker.  More control over colour and easily editable.  Uneven textures but create a screen print catologe that got rid of this. Slide 7 Editorial with new found techniques.  More depth to the images. Not as high quality but I have more time to work on the idea behind the piece which is more important.

Slide 8 Spy zine. A1. Slide 9- Social media  Not great at social media .  Finding techiques to work with it, delet it off my phone whenever I post something , not letting it dictate what I make.  Treating it more like an online portfolio just a solely a platform for likes and promotion. Slide 10 – Website  Slide 11- where next:  Print club London, really excited about this  Print is at the core of everything I do in my current practice.  Work for Somerset houses summer festivals.  Get a print room for a bit longer  Gain more contacts. Slide 14 –  REVIST !!! - Two SIDES TO MY PRACTICE but both work for editorial and publishing.  Like to do more investigative reportage work. Slide 13-self portrait –  This is me – Ambitions for the next 5 years  Own make shift studio, and be hitting the big names. Slide 14 – Any questions.
