Even the greatest journey takes place step by step

Even the greatest of journeys takes place step by step. The same holds true when it comes to successfully reaching the closing table.

One of those who exemplify this is Rhonda Hice.

As Qualifying Broker/Manager at Coldwell Banker Rheel Properties, Rhonda shows that consistently making the right things happen over time makes a big impact.

“I believe the little things aren’t so little. That is why I dedicate so much attention to the little things, so my clients do not have to think about them,” Rhonda explains. “I want it to be a good experience at the end of the day for the clients.”

Crucial Moves

Rhonda was born and raised in Alabama. In 1991, she moved to Mobile. Around that time, she had a pivotal meeting with Rance Reehl.

“Rance helped me with the purchase of a property in Mobile,” Rhonda recalls. “At the time, he said to me, ‘You should get into real estate, because of your knowledge of the real estate market and because I was highly organized and thorough. A few years later, I moved to Baldwin County. Again, I worked with Rance as my REALTOR®. He reiterated I should get into real estate. So, I got my license and went to work for Coldwell Banker Reehl Properties in 1995.”

Meant to Be

Right from the start, Rhonda seemed like a natural fit for real estate.

“I had built a new home in a new development. As a result, I was living in a neighborhood, where people were driving through and looking at new construction,” Rhonda says. “I remember when I saw a car coming through, I would go outside, meet them, and give them my card.”

Rhonda’s start in the business was remarkable, as she earned Rookie of the Year honors. Since then, she has consistently been a Top Producing Agent.

Many Hats

Rhonda wears a lot of different hats: Qualifying Broker, Office Manager, and is a licensed Real Estate Instructor while also listing and selling properties.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Rhonda’s work is that she has been able to assist nearly 900 families throughout her 25-year career.

Making a Difference

Rhonda has a lot of joy in her heart for what she does.

“I like working with different people and helping them to fulfill their hopes and dreams of homeownership. Whether upsizing or downsizing, it is extremely rewarding to help sellers complete their transitions as well,” Rhonda smiles.

Active Endeavors

Away from work, Rhonda has a drive to play as hard as she works. She is extremely active. In fact, she is a runner, having completed a full marathon and several half marathons. She also likes watching movies, spending time at the beach, traveling, snow skiing, reading, skydiving, and enjoying a nice ice-cold Coca-Cola.

It was not long ago when Rhonda was climbing her way to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Step by step, she worked her way through the long journey to the top.

“I was in a small group of climbers, so it was almost like a private climb. But it was extremely difficult,” Rhonda says. “It took us six days to reach the summit, and a day and a half to come down the mountain. Along the way, we slept in tents at night and made our way through four distinct ecozones.”

The climb was a journey of perseverance for Rhonda.

“On the sixth day of our journey the hardest part hit me,” Rhonda remembers. “That’s the day we made the climb to the summit. You walk the last seven hours at night so you can reach the summit at sunrise…it was very cold. I was all bundled up and I got overheated.”

Rhonda offloaded part of her belongings to lighten her load. She reflected on her journey and pushed forward to make the summit.

Giving Back

In addition to being a member of Baldwin REALTORS®, Rhonda is also involved in Baldwin MLS, Baldwin County Chamber of Commerce, Mobile MLS and she serves on the Baldwin REALTORS® Professional Standard’s Committee.

Giving back is also a large part of who Rhonda is. She volunteers with organizations such as The Prodisee Pantry, Habitat for Humanity and is an active member of Three Circle Church. Those who get to know Rhonda will know her as someone who is honest, fair, helpful and has a true, can-do spirit. She does not sit still waiting for something good to happen, instead she goes out and makes it happen.

Through the process of building lifelong bonds, Rhonda focuses on the fine details of each transaction.
