Editors Letter.

We are thrilled to present the third issue of the year!

At mocha, we’ve been busy with the recent announcement of our AHIA Creative Finalists, leaving our heads spinning with excitement. Judging was tough this year, and I must congratulate all the entrants for their outstanding submissions. I was truly blown away by the level of talent displayed.

The Gala Event in Sydney in June, where the winners will be announced, is fast approaching, but all who entered are already winners in my eyes. It takes tremendous effort and dedication to pull off a collection and written submission for the awards, and I truly admire all who participate.

Before the big night, we have the Hair Festival to enjoy, proudly owned by Intermedia/Instyle and held over the long weekend in June. It promises to be an exciting event so make sure you grab your tickets at www.hairfestival. com.au. Come and find us at the AHIA Gallery where all collections will be on display!

In this issue, our experts offer valuable insights into leadership, culture, and excellence, with industry coaches, mentors, and educators providing a wealth of support to business owners.

We are always thrilled to share the best of the best when it comes to coaching, mentoring, and education with our readers.

We also feature some exceptional Salon Profiles, including Scissor & Stone W.A, Ms Monaco Hair Society QLD, Serendipity Hair QLD, and Agencie in Melbourne VIC.

We meet the two new EVY PROFESSIONAL Ambassadors and welcome new contributor, Kate Henderson from Elysium Hair, who will take readers on a journey over the next 5 issues of HairBiz.

It’s always inspiring to hear success stories like Elysium Hair Brisbane, and I am excited for Kate to be unpacking the different elements of the Elysium Brand, and how they became the AHIA Australian salon of the Year for 2022.

We also cross over to the UK to feature the very talented Marney Lian, and our industry legend Faye Murray shares with us her 20-year coaching and mentoring journey. Last but not least, we put the spotlight on Hot Shot Tia Wright!

Finally, we celebrate our amazing 22/23 Hot Shots Winners with their stunning collection, which you can find on the flipped back cover and as a special collection feature.

Don’t forget that the AHIA Business is open for entries, with the product entry deadline on 22/5/23, general entry deadline on 10/7/23, finalists announced on 21/8/23, and the gala night on 24/9/23, held on the fabulous Gold Coast!

You can find the AHIA Business info kit on our website at www.mocha.com.au. As well as access to the awards site and we can’t wait to celebrate with you all at our AHIA Creative Gala Event in June!

Love & Big Hugs, Louise
