Registering as an individual: Players who register as individuals will be assigned to teams as space allows. Placement of individuals is contingent on sufficient registrations to form a team and recruitment of a volunteer coach. After teams have been formed, coaches will contact players before the first session of the season to confirm location and time of practices. Please be sure we have your most current contact information. Registering a Pre-formed Team: Coach’s must visit WWW.MOCOREC.COM to download the coaches’ packet. Coaches must submit a team roster. Parents of the individual players must register online or submit a registration form with payment. Each player should list the coach’s name when they register. All players must be from the same MCPS elementary school district or private school. MCR reserves the right to add players to rosters with less than the maximum number of players.
Full payment is due with registration. Non-county residents pay an additional $15 per participant, per activity. Out of county teams pay an additional $50 fee. If your check is returned unpaid, your account will be debited electronically for the original check amount and electronically or via paper for the State’s maximum allowable service fee. Payment by check constitutes authorization of these transactions. You may revoke your authorization by calling 800-666-5222 ext. 2 to arrange payment due for any outstanding checks and service fees. We accept checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and money order. Make checks payable to ActiveMONTGOMERY. Checks must have your name, current address, phone number, and driver’s license number written or printed on the check. A separate registration form must be completed for each child in each sport. Complete each registration form fully and legibly. Please print all information.
You may withdraw from an activity before the second activity session, and in most circumstances, will be entitled to receive a pro-rated credit to your ActiveMONTGOMERY account or a refund. No credit or refund will be issued for activity sessions missed by the participant or after the second (2) session is held. Withdrawal and refund policies apply to all Recreation activities, unless otherwise noted in the activity description. Please read the activity description carefully as some activities have specific withdrawal policies, which limit when withdrawal may take place and/or whether any credit or refund will be applied; these activities have refund/withdrawal policies that supersede our standard policy. The amount credited or refunded is based on the number of activity sessions remaining when your withdrawal request is received. Refunds may be applied to your ActiveMONTGOMERY account or returned to you in the same form as payment was rendered. All cash payments will be refunded to you by check.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to register for Montgomery County Recreation programs. MCR is committed to compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). To facilitate inclusion, interpreters, large print and auxiliary aids may be requested. Early notification allows us more time to put the accommodations in place. Contact a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at 240-777-6870 or email us at rec.mainstream@montgomerycountymd.gov.
