Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Antonio De Icco and I am an amateur pho tographer .... I love artistic portraits ... in the portrait I look for t he intense gaze ... the one that arouses emotion .. . that you would spend hours watching .... I use a lot of talking du ring a shooting ... because the gaze changes depend ing on what I'm telling ... this together with an almost unusua l sought-after pose. I have points of reference but they are not known to the mass ... both Russians. Maybe it's the style they have in common .. but that's what I'm l ooking for in my works.

How and when did you get into photography? A few years ago while I was walking along the seaf ront I noticed a poster. Photography course .... registration open ... I didn't think twice about registering. Yes, b ecause in the meantime already on social media I was amazed by ce rtain portraits of photographers ... I too wanted t o get to compose those masterpieces.

What does photography mean to you? For me photography is the highest expression of AR T, as a painting can be ... a symphonic composition ... a sculpture ... but with an ex tra gear. An image is a fragment of t ime ... a frame frozen in time .... with the right composition and expression ... it always manages to arouse the same emotions.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I don't think I still have my own photographic style ... because I'm still looking for the right p hotograph to tell you ...

Where do you get inspiration from? Ver y often I take from life, ideas from social net works, sometimes I associa-te the somatic features of a face, similarities, to bring out something original.

Do you think in advance what you want in the pictur e? Yes ... I, in fact, some notes on the shots, I alr eady ima-gine poses and expressions ... sometimes I can some times not and I have to tr y again. *

Studio, on location or both? In the cold seasons I shoot in my small studio .... spring and summer I only do out-door, this choice is for the fantastic light .. I l ive near the sea and this makes it easier for me.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid pr ofessional? I still consider myself a hobbyist .... I still ha ve a lot to learn.

What has been your most memorable session and why? I recently shot a theater actor ... where he perso nified certain types of emotions ... anger, anguish, happi ness ... I think this is the most memorable.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I use Canon is my favorite lens is Canon 85 1.8 at maximum aperture is truly magical.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own busi ness? Aadvice that I could give to a photographer and to be original to wander with the imagination in any s er vice is requested ... still life, ceremonies, portraits ...

What do you think of our new magazine? I think this magazine is one of the few to promote both the great pro-fessional and the new talented ...
