TEXTILES FOR LIVING
MP Home We make exquisite textiles for daily living. MP was founded in 2014 after artist and designer Allison Warren developed a line of linen textiles to complement a mid-century glasshouse that she and her partner were restoring. At that time, few options were available stateside for luxury linens and textiles of superior local craft and of modern design. Over the years, the line has garnered a following for its use of color and sewing details inspired by men’s suits. Sustainability and ethical production is a touchstone for the studio. Using flax linen material uses fewer resources to grow than other fibers and its inherant durability makes a linen product last longer than other fibers. Fewer purchases are needed which reduce textile waste. We also sew and ship out of Chicago, our home base, which greatly reduces overseas transport costs. Items are cut and sewn on a per order basis which means we are a zero waste operation. With the new Deep Sea Collection, we actively repurpose fabric remants in the design process. Allison is a native of Santa Barbara, California and the line’s relaxed luxe vibe is inspired by the European-American Riviera spirit of her hometown.

Deep Sea Deep Sea came from living near the water and seeing the changing hues of the lake from a deep blue to earthy purple to a very light gray. It is a visceral experience, when seeing, breathing and feeling the elements is part of a daily experience and a consistent influence in how we live, indoors and out. Deep Sea takes a new approach to making and production for MP this season. The Deep Sea pieces, cushions and table linens, are made for sustainability and efficiency in the studio. Each pieces was once a remnant which we have repurposed into these highly detailed and stitched pieces. The Deep Sea Collection also includes table linens which follow the same hand-dyed, patch process of the pillows. These table linens are soft and very organic, telling the history of their dyeing and sewing proceeses. These runners can be ordred as bespoke pieces, and they are part of an ongoing series that will not be repeated. Runners can be ordered in three sizes or you can specific length for an upcharge. BEDDING About MP Bedding Excellent bedding is elemental to creating a sense of well-being, connection to Self, and mindfulness. We believe that linens of premium natural materials, made with attention to detail, with supreme craftsmanship, and of simple modern design sets the foundation for great sleep and a rekindling of connections between Self and the phyical environment. To promote these, MP bedding focuses on construction details like internal french seams, mitered corners, ethically farmed materials, and colors that come from nature. Our designs are simple but far from basic.
The Runyon Collection is made from thicker weight linen with a slight texture. The collection can be used as separates in combination with ther MP items. The look is substantial, beautiful color and drape. Simple and gorgeous. The Collection includes Coverlets and Shams with knife-edge construction. In addition to premium linen, we source zippers for duvet enclosures from YKK, include 90/10 feather down inserts on all pillows. Bedding collections include duvets, coverlets, pillowcases and shams, plus decorative boudoirs and accent pillows. Each item is madeto-order locally in Chicago.

Notebook Stripe is fresh fabric with a delicate black stripe. The stripe is on a warm white background and a very thin stripe is black. This fabric is a twist on plain white bedding. It can be paired with many other toss pillows of any color and style, making this just the right foundational fabric. On the facing page, we have combined Notebook with Norse Mist Stripe standard shams and throw pillow. MP offers many stripes that work beautifully as mix and match options. The Madrid Stripe is a favorite among our customers. It has an unmistakeable personality that perks up any space. It is cheerful, friendly, and very energetic. The Baltic stripe is perfect for those occasions when you want a stripe that is both bold but very understated. You have found that with Baltic. Lucia is our take on classic hotel linens. Lucia is reminscent of the fine hotel linen with its subtle line detail at the collar and as two vertical seams on the duvet. Being linen, the classic formalism of this design is slightly relaxed which makes it approachable and rustic but refined. The collection features either a white body with contrasting edging, shown this spread, or a colored base with white edging, shown on the previous spread. Larson is a quiet and calming collection that was inspired by horizontal planes of the Heartland. Larson is made from washed taupe medium weight linen that is soft but with a nice hand and drape. We sew a long edging stripe across Coverlets, Shams, and Pillows that provides subtle visual interest and detail. Edging color is any one of our Studio fabrics, or we can color match something specific. All items are knife edge and shams have an envelope enclosure. Anna Feather is our most foundational collection, which provides a neutral ground to mix and match pillows, throws, and blankets. Anna comes in three neutral colors and is feather light, like sleeping on a cloud. Purl edge on pillowcases and sheeting. All items are knife edge, and duvet is finished with zipper enclosure. Internal ties are available on the duvet. CUSHIONS Cushions are made in most of our collections as either throw pillows, accent pillows or boudoirs. Every design is at home in any room and we like the flexibilty that this provides. Pillows will last for many years due to the notions we select during production. Invisisble zippers are YKK and inserts are 90/10 feather down. We line the front panel of all our pillows to add structure. Depending on the style, we back each throw pillow in oatmeal linen or a coordinating solid. Accents and boudoirs are made by piecing together different hues and texures together giving each pillow a subtle but substantial interest. We line the front of each pillow for added structure and finish with navy YKK zipper and 90/10 down feather insert. Pillowcovers can be purchased with insert if desired.
