ON THE ROAD

TEXAS paradise found

Port Aransas

Port Aransas is one of Texas’ few beach towns, but it is one definitely worth checking out. Located five hours away from Waco and nearly seven hours away from Dallas, it’s four hours away from the south of Austin along the Gulf of Mexico. Originally a location for pirates in the early 19th century, Port Aransas is now known for its resort status due to the many opportunities for fishing, swimming, surfing, and camping. Better known as Port A, this quaint beach town is loved by locals and vacationers alike.

A welcoming beach community where Southern charm meets beach chic. Since 2006, Cinnamon Shore has perfected the balance of relaxation and recreation. They have perfected the art of resort vacation as they draw in all genres of guests such as families, wedding parties, college students, and even couples looking to get away for a few days. Vacationers are charmed by the sophisticated, Americana homes that line the property as well as the plentiful amenities offered. Cinnamon Shore goes above and beyond to offer upscale experience. Guests can lounge by any of the three pools on location, cruise on personal golf carts, dine at the Shore’s signature restaurants, or partake in relaxing morning yoga on the beach. For families seeking more inclusive activities, Cinnamon Shore provides endless fun for the whole group. There is everything from surf lessons, s’mores night, movie under the stars, giant chess and checkers on the Great Lawn, and more. Cinnamon Shore even has Quiet Hours, where from ten p.m. to six a.m. the resort asks guests to maintain low volumes out of respect for other residents. The most appealing aspect of Cinnamon Shore is that guests of all ages and groups will be able to find luxury and leisure. Cinnamon Shore is a place that not just offers homes, but feels like home.

Cinnamon Shore

"Our house was beautiful and incredibly spacious. The staff made our stay very relaxing and convenient!" -Lenny

Resort Activities

Cinnamon Shore hosts a multitude of activities and events that are worth checking out. For the active ocean lovers, there are surf lessons or sand castle building; for those wanting to unwind, you can reserve a bonfire at night or join morning yoga on the beach. Always check the community calendar for upcoming events such as movies on the Great Lawn, live music concerts, s’more nights, and paddleboard yoga. Residents who are looking for more invigorating workouts should sign up for Beach Body Burn with Rachel. Associated with Cinnamon Shore, Rachel’s workouts bring fitness fun in the sun, where guests can burn calories instead of getting sunburnt. For less scheduled activities, Cinnamon Shore offers bike rentals, a fishing dock perfect for an idle fishing day (there is a catch and release policy), and the grassy knolls with oversized games, tetherball, and ladder ball golf. Aside from the orange and white striped umbrellas, Cinnamon Shore might be best known for their timeless, upscale homes. With over 200 homes, townhomes, cottages, and condos to its name, all properties offer their own beautiful architecture or aesthetically pleasing design. The swaying palm trees lining the homes add the perfect effect to the community’s classic beach porch appeal. There is a 2-6 night minimum for most rentals, and for the larger homes it's a 4-5 night minimum. While the homes all share a similar aesthetic, there are specific features unique to properties such as grills, being dog friendly, or a view that overlooks the beach. It’s often dependant on the home, but many supply basics such as kitchen utensils, pots and pans, plates, cups, laundry rooms, and free Wifi. It’s worth recommending to either rent a golf cart or spend some time walking around the property to soak in the charm of Cinnamon Shore’s private seaside village.

Vacation Rentals

Beach & Pool

The three luxury pools at Cinnamon Shore live up to their name. As the largest and more central of the pools, Dune Pool provides amenities such as seasonal bar service, spacious room for sunbathing, shaded cabanas, and even a giant wooden pirate ship for kids to play in. The gorgeous Kiera’s Pool includes an infinity edge that appears to almost disappear into the coastal lake. It is also located right next to C Bar, one of the Shore’s eateries that offers light cocktails and meals. Stillwater Pool is Cinnamon Shore’s heated pool, and worth taking a dip in.

There is no better way to relax at the beach than under Cinnamon Shore’s signature orange and white striped umbrellas and chairs. At only $35 per set/per day, the set includes two chairs and one umbrella, the hasslefree set up really is worth the cost. While Cinnamon Shore does sit on public beach property, there is privatized area that can be accessed from the wooden boardwalk. The area is well groomed and only a short walk or golf cart ride away.

"S'mores on the beach was our favorite part!" -Hudson & Nico

"I loved the wide range of food the resort offered! It was great for kids and adults!" - Publisher's favorite

Food

There are plenty of food options to choose from when it comes to the Cinnamon Shore menu selection. Start mornings off at Coffee Waves, a quaint coffee shop near the front of Cinnamon Shore. Later, grab a seat at Dylan’s Coal Oven Pizza. Located at the resort’s center, enjoy authentic New York pizza, pasta, and Italian sandwiches either on indoors or on the breezy outside patios. Highly recommended is the Bianca or Arugula and Prosciutto pizzas, and should be paired with the popular Pineapple Jalepeño Margarita. For sweet tooth cravings stop by C Treats which sells drinks, snowcones, and ice cream. Positioned nicely on the Great Lawn, it is the perfect pit stop for when Cinnamon Shore hosts movies under the stars. For a finer atmosphere, Lisabella’s is a beachside upscale eatery with fantastic courses such as the sea bass black drum paired with a delicious cocktail like the Paloma (Silver tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, grapefruit salt, and fresh lime). Finally, The Market is the perfect place to restock your kitchen or drop by for small snacks and don't forget to pick up your favorite adult beverages at The Bottle Shoppe liquor store. You are in for a treat with all of the amazing options Cinnamon Shore has to offer.
